I have always loved watching miller play for us but he is in his early 30's and has only 2-3 great years left followed by a few descent years before retiring. I would trade him now his stock will never be any higher as sad as it would make me watching him leave. As far as moulsen is concerned he is in the same category. Get multiple first rounders and a few seconds as well as a propect or 2 and get this full rebuild in full swing with the assets we already have. Stock the cupbpoards with young top end talent and take the nhl by storm for a decade. |

2-3 years of watching my team lose is well worth 8-10 years of watching them win. |

I hope the Canucks don't do anything stupid; unless they're dealing for an Evander Kane or Brayden Schenn (which is unlikely given their depth) they'd be stupid to give up picks and or guys like Edler for short term pipe dreams. We're not winning anything any time soon - let's just be honest with ourselves! |

So trade Gardiner for Sam and a pick. Then would need to trade Kadri for a shut down nhl D. |

islander fan here, trust me, rebuilds don't always work out like that...just try to draft a corner stone like Tavares and just hope for the best |

I wonder what would Habs be willing to pay for Byfuglien. Bergevin have been saying for a while that he wont be trading his young players, think he changed his mind? Can't shake the feeling that Eller will be use as a trade bait. |

Unless you want your team to be worse off I'd say forget about byfuglien. He's overrated and an ass hat. Let some other team with an idiotic management group like the Flyers overpay for him and see first hand. |

Toronto would have to add.

The only away the Leafs are trading for Gagner is if they move Kadri - otherwise what's the point?
This trade is about as likely as the Canucks picking up Moulson.. |

Miller is a UFA, he goes to the highest bidder, just like Vanek did.
Ruutu is not a game changer. You can trade in-division for 2nd/3rd liners without caring all that much.
EDM should acquire Ruutu with CAR picking up some cap hit from his terrible deal. |

This sounds like JVR/Schenn where both sides think they would get screwed on a 1-1 deal... |

Ok compromise, Sabres, Isles, Blues= three team trade. - Buffalo_Boy
This is what I want, as an Islanders fan. Blues acquire Miller from Sabres, then flip Elliott to NYI. Blues can give up a d-man in the Miller trade and then trade Elliott to NYI for MacDonald. |

Sure If EDM throws in Perron or MAYBE Gagne and, the teams in the East just don't have the pieces JR is wanting not from a competition standpoint which is a 3rd line center and or Winger with size. BTW Gagner's deal $4.8m talk about bad. |
