Paul McCann: The Ducks Are Good

Reading this warmed my cockles. The Ducks are playing so well right now, but it's nice to see some acknowledgement from people who cover other teams.

Pretty crappy of Andersen to push the net off its moorings but I think the game was already over anyway, and if it wasn't, it's not like Weber is gonna score from behind his own net with under 2 seconds left.

Last night was a tale of below average goaltending. The 2nd and 3rd goals should have not gone in the net...period.

In regards to this I thought for sure the Preds and the Ducks would be trading partners when Rinne's situation got worse. Poile wasn't interested at the time and then Viktor Fasth got hurt and that was the end of that.

Even if the Preds had been awarded a penalty shot, I think we all know how that would have turned out. The Preds have had exactly one successful shootout attempt this season, and that one just barely crossed the line. I doubt a penalty shot would have given a different result.

It was a good, entertaining game last night, and the Ducks looked like world beaters once the second period started. Very impressive team. I wouldn't mind one bit if Teemu retired after lifting the cup again.

It's amazing the leads a team can overcome when they have goal scorers. I wish we could trade David Poile for Bobby Ryan straight up.
