Handled himself pretty good in the shootout too

I didn't get a chance to watch the game, first one I have missed all year.
But did anyone stick up for him here after the hit? The video shows Moulson sort of spear Cowen as he skated by but what about after that?

Good Question , I did not notice if they did or not . The kid was amazing how composed he was recovering and not retaliating . This kid is going to be a star in this league . If he gets that scoring touch , he could be another Iginla !

It almost looked as if Girgs was thinking about going towards Cowen when he got up. I am assuming he didn't. Hopefully someone at least grabbed his jersey or something.

Girgs got up and jawed at him but that was about it. The play quickly escalated into our zone so everyone actually rushed back on the backcheck. At the time the hit didn't even really look that dirty honestly, it looked like he caught him off guard, but not illegally. After watching the replay its clearly illegal, just saying live I see how it wasn't called.

When the play came back into Ottowas corner, Girgs laid a heavy hit on someone else, think it ended up being the Carruba Collision.

The only retaliation was on the score sheet....and he handled that all by himself

Yes it is , so Glad we could put him in the AHL last year . They said he was the hardest worker down there . And he seems to be up here . Kid goes full out every shift.
