So MacT says Smid's contract could be a problem in the future but now apparently is going after a guy with the exact same contract but with 200k less $$$ I don't know if Daley is that much of an improvement to Smid

You would be sending 5 million in cap to the Stars so it saves you guys another 2 in the long run

A mobile two way defender is something the Flyers could really use, but we already have a lot of bodies with that range of cap hit on the backend.

I would think the Avs would want him for sure, but the price would probably be too high for someone within the Division.

Cap Friendly 4 year contract for a servicable 2nd pairing Dman, has to be a good haul for him, depends on what Dallas is looking for. I dont think a few draft picks will get it done
