Probably the scariest thing about watching Yak this year is the way he is playing. There seems to be no willingness to back check or play D and he isn't even finding space to release that lethal shot we saw last year. Sure we're only 10 games and he's played less than 60 NHL games but I can't be the only one worried about his lack of offense and defense. I would literally sacrifice my left testicle to the hockey gods to see ONE playoff game for the Oil but if Yak is going to play like this all year it might take both nuts

Heard Brownlee and Greggor talk about a reclamation project in Tyler Myers today. Without even talking about the return, he's gonna make $5.5 million per for the next 5. Would we want that player at that salary?

I guess it all depends who is going back. But what I really don't like about him, he's way to soft for a monster. He would have more space and more room to skate with the puck and move the puck up the ice if he used his size just a lil bit.

Not really. He can play on offense to varying degrees, but his defensive decision making blows. He needs to get back to the basics or he's on the fast track to irrelevance.
