They are paying fleury a nice chunk of change so I doubt they are looking for his replacement. The only thing they will be looking for is a new back up.

I think teams took notice that the Flyers were willing to buy out that large of a contract and settle with a tandem involving Mason rather than keep Bryz on board.

Sure, but it's relative. Bryz eating 6mm in cap was something to get away from. Bryz at say 2mm could be an option. Right now he's getting paid to watch tiger documentaries.

Miller would be a relatively cheap aquisition come deadline. The goalie market is saturated. Bryz, theodore, dipieto, clemmonson, miller, maybe brodeur, halak or allen or the other guy whose name eludes me, thomas maybe, riemer?, anderson?, the list could be huge. PLus vokoun could be out only 3 months. Anyone that thinks goalies are gonna be worth a huge invesment trade wise is fooling themselves

Sorry Garth - not going to happen anytime soon
- Penguins have too much invested in MAF
Penguins are up against the cap big time
- Penguins do not have the assets Buffalo needs ( nothing they will trade at least ) , They traded all their picks away last year gearing up for the run last year , Sure don't want MAF coming here . He is a mess

Like someone said , maybe closer to the deadline

Doesn;t MIlller have 7mill cap hit. Dont think the pens cold take that on, unless Fleury is going the other way. But then they still need a backup goalie. And why would the Sabers want Fluery?

I can't see Van, really can't. I think they seek to avoid a competitive situation in goal at all costs. And as much as I even make fun of him, with a good defense Bryz is capable of being a starting goaltender.

"Do you honestly think that Shero wants to upset his star by signing a wing but like Bryzgalov?"

What does this even mean? Carelessness and lack of attention to detail combined with repeating the same basic ideas over and over (ex-the countless articles about Grigorenko) might be why Freiheit's post has 232 comments since this morning while your 2 posts have a combined 51.

Edmonton if dubynk has another game like last night you can be sure they will start talking about it.

2mil could be an option, but I think he's damaged goods for teams with the expectation and market of a Pittsburgh. I think my initial comment was too broad in saying all teams.

Dubnyk let in some pretty suspect goals last night to be sure. Is Bryz the answer though... he needs a solid D in front of him. Edmonton seems more of a Run and Gun kinda team... like Washington.

Garth you should try a new blog, maybe one to rile up leafs fans. Probably get a lot more hits. You can say ridiculous things like scott is the best enforcer in the league, and Devane jumped tropp. Just a thought.

Sorry I had to.
