st louis looked filthy last year in the playoffs. anybody who was fortunate enough to watch the st louis/la first round games really got to see some playoff hockey. looked like they needed a little more offense, but wow, for a team that got knocked out in the first round, they impressed.

Zadorov will get the 7 game "look-see" that Junior players are allowed, then he will be sent back to Juniors.

Vanek will be the captain.

Ristolainen will be on this team. Sulzer and Tallinder will not.

It's back to 9 games as it's a full 82 game season.

I think he stays, what would be the point of acquiring him just to leave him in the AHL? I think he'll play on the bottom pair with Ristolainen or be the #7.

Man its nice to have a glut of prospects right now. Im not expecting anything this season besides witnessing the development of our young guns. The future is bright IMO.

How did that line of Girgensons-Grigorenko-Armia look last night. Spelling?

On paper thats a pretty interesting idea but obviously TBD once real games begin.

Vanek-C
Hodgson-A
Myers/Ott/Weber/Hoff-A

Really a throw up in my mind who could be up for that last A

1 Less forward to worry about Armia has a broken hand. No timetable yet.

They gave up next to nothing to acquire him. It was hardly any sort of large commitment. He's there for "mentorship" more than anything else, something that he can do from Rochester as well. He would clear waivers.

Like this?

Myers-Tallinder

Ehrhoff-Weber/Pysyk

Ristolainen-Pysyk/Weber

McBain

Has Myers played with Ehrhoff so far and if so has that pairing been any good? I'd like to see that more than Myers-Tallinder.

It's not like it's a very hard name to spell/pronounce...like 5 letters. Rolston said he expects 3 or 4 1st rounders to be up with the NHL team, he might have had a shot.

The EA simulation has the Penguins in the SCF every year. And if the players were all robots, that would be the case.

Gonna give Vanek the C just for him to leave next year, what is he Zach Parise?

Just give it to Ehrhoff or run 3 A's until it's figured out.

And you're not keeping Zadorov are you? He doesn't even have a contract yet

I'll give your line a go. I'm bored. Don't hate, just throwin it out there
