Great choice!!! Glencross lets his temper get the best of him sometimes so he wasn't gonna get the job, and Cammy might be gone soon. Although it was pretty much by default Gio will be a GREAT captain.

I also saw that the Flames are about to announce signing Baertschi to a 7 year, 31 million dollar deal....is this BS? Anyone else heard this???

I would be pumped if it happens. In a couple years having him for under 4.5 would be a steal IMO

where the leafs are now is where the flames will be in 3-4 years, thats my guess.

burke is going to make a splash, there will be some question marks but it will all work out in the end.

Theyll likely wait until next year to sign him...see how he does this year and go from there, no real reason to rush it.
