No Vanek or Girgensons? - Dr3aMWeav3r
Team Blue. I believed they skated this morning. Team Gold and Team Gray skate this afternoon. |

I'd like to see Ennis on the wing, so I hope Larsson and/or Freakarenko make the cut at center.
Lots of reasons to label Meyers our biggest disappointment last year, but I am not so keen on Ennis's play at all. Ennis's crappy play got way less attention, but he's so NOT an impact center, and he's near the end of his "bridge" contract so he should play big this year. |

call me crazy but i prefer Ennis at center than at wing. Ergo id rather have him at center or on someone elses roster |

You're not crazy. Guys like Ennis need room to work, room that only the center position can provide. |

No Zadarov or is that because he is going straight to Jr.? - blizzzard
this pisses me off too...
they don't even give him a chance to play with the guys in camp... yea he is 18 but he was easily our best D-man in rookie development camp. |

Sekera on the change from Buffalo to Raleigh: "I think everything is better than Buffalo."
Ouuuuch. This is when Sabres should respond, "Sekera?, a tree stump is better then Sekera" |

Between Leopold's "grim reaper" comments in St. Louis last year, and Sekera's comments now, it's pretty clear that there was something seriously wrong with that locker room. I know it's easy to point to when Pegula took over, but this is sounding more and more like this was years in the making, and the timing of the boiling point just so happened to coincide with Pegula's purchase. I don't know whether it's Regier, Ruff, or both, but it's obvious that there is change needed on both sides (players and management). |

Wow I see I missed a lot. I guess Hodgson's contract is alright provided he continues to grow. He's not really being paid like a 1st line centre so if it does work out it could be a nice deal for us (especially with the cap going up). I guess that means they either move Ennis to the wing or trade him?

I think he's talking about the city more than the team but I do agree with your point regardless. |

I think a big part was Ruff....Even Mike Grier slammed him when he went to San Jose....something about watching hours of game tape. I have also heard comments about players being afraid to make mistakes....having too tight a grip on the stick. The other grim reaper could be Miller. However, all he really does is calls out the team when they play like crap. Which we need more of rather than less. Ruff will probably coach in the NHL for the rest of his life and will probably win a cup sooner or later. It was just time for him to go in Buffalo. His message/system got stale.
