If they signed Morrow, i don't see why they wouldn't just play him on the LW w/Skins at C and Lindholm at RW (assuming he really fits on the team in a 3rd line roll)! Of course there are so many players and so many options that training camp will probably surprise us all... I can see a few of the prospects having a breakout type of year ie. Dalpe, Nash, Welsh, and the young Staal(i know you're not high on him, but he's still quite young and he has the genes!!!) |

I think Morrow would also have a big impact in helping further develop the younger guys. |

I am 100% for bringing Morrow in as the team has lacked in leadership since Brind'amour and Wesley retired. |

I do like morrow, but wouldn't the canes be better to spend their remaining $ on d men? Ian White? Ron Hainsey? - Bieksa#3
We have been there done that with White ,so no thanks ,and Hainsey could be slightly better than Jay Harrison ,but for the $ difference meh. I hope they spend there $ on Morrow ,and/or Dave Steckle ,if he's still available as we need bottom 6 depth quality with some size. |

Hainsey is the guy that was rumored to be on JR's radar, assuming he could "move a contract"...! That said, there's enough capspace to fit in another player, so Morrow, Raymond, Steckel, ??? may still be in play! As JR hasn't traded anyone yet, it's likely that training camp may help decide on any subsequent moves, IMO! |

Yeah that is the rumor that keep's coming up ,but TBO It would have to Imo a bottom 6 guy ,and still Hainsey would be better ,but as long as there no top 6 involved as the team is an Injury away from Dwyer being over-slotted again ,so JR better hurry as Camp is what 10 days out ,so he better get of his hands maybe move Dalpe ,and or Nash and bring in Morrow & Steckle ,or Boyes which would make a Line of Skinner/Steckle/Lindholm a solid 3rd line and Bowman/Rask/Dwyer/Westgarth as a solid 4th or... ,but time is a wasting!
1.Tlusty/Staal/Semin
2.Boyes or Morrow/J.Staal/Ruutu
3.Skinner/Steckle/Lindholm
4.Bowman/Rask/Dwyer/Westy |

Steckel is nowhere near a 3rd liner |

Steckel is nowhere near a 3rd liner - Bieksa#3
That's true, but we can use a 4th line ctr with size!
It's not an absolute certainty we need another 3rd or 4th line forward!
We have multiple candidates who could possibly qualify for those positions, but it never hurts to upgrade if you can!
For that matter, our defense has been improved IMO, and Hainsey may or may not be a noticeable improvement...??? We'll see what JR is thinking, sooner or later! |

Steckel would be useful until the 3rd & 4th lines are settled as Skinner could center Rask & Lindholm ,but that's a little Scary with both rookies until they get some experience ,then Steckle would be fine as a 4th line center. The D corp with Komi & Sekera is not great ,but miles better than McNugget & Corvo ,and I'm on sure on Hainsey being the answer either. |

Rask is a longshot to make the roster! Last year he wasn't even able to stay in the AHL, and Nash, Bowman, Dalpe, and probably Welsh are ahead of him in the depth chart going into camp. |
