I just don't see what'd go the other way that wouldn't make the Devils worse overall after the trade. This isn't like 2008 Dion Phaneuf we're talking.

Yeah, Dion to NJ is not happening.

I really just don't want to get rid of Henrique or Larsson and I honestly don't see how we're acquiring by trade someone of legitimate significance without losing one of those two. Keep in mind we have no first rounder next year and I really think we can't afford to trade our 2015 first. What trading chips do we have, other than several solid D-prospects I guess.

What are they going to do? Send the Leafs their non-existent first round pick?

Of course not like NJ doesn't have any valuable pieces, but I just can't see it working out. To pull that off you are probably talking about some valuable piece of New Jersey's roster and not sure they want to move out even more roster players right now. Just because anyone can get traded doesn't mean the Leafs will move their top dman and captain for just anything.
