I think Bozak will go to Calgary. He may fit in there.

Calg better stay away from Bozak. He only has decent numbers because of Phil and Lupul. If they go for him dont give him 8yrs and dont pay him the 5mil he is said to be seeking. He isnt worth more than 3.5mil. Feaster dont keep screwing yourself. Your starting to do decent things. Get Riberio for what he wants.

I like Bozak, but 5 mil per seems like the Stajan contract all over again... Maybe even Horcoff bad. It also sets a terrible precedent for Backlund.

Seguin still intrigues me, but I'm in a small minority that doesn't see him as a massive upgrade over Backlund. I'm certainly not willing to sell the farm to get him.

If you can get Bozak for a 4 year deal, it may be a good idea so you have centre depth to let Monahan play an extra year in the OHL, then ease him in the lineup. Also gives you a somewhat competent centre to play with Baertshi. However 5mill per for 8 years is a hell no.

Seguin would be a good pickup for you guys. But I strongly believe anything with Seguin means Baertshi goes the other way. Likely next years 1st rounder too, which could very well be a top 5 pick.

While bozak asking $5 mil is ridiculous, he is a good player, very smart. He may seem like stajan but he is 10x the player stajan is. No comparison. Bozak SHOULDN"T get more than $4 but on the open market, we all know how GMs lose their mind.

Yes. Stajan is AWFUL. There isn't one thing he does well. Not one. Hit? Fight? pass? score, faceoff, shoot? i could go on and on. Stajan has to be the softest player i've seen , including kessel. Bozak led the team in ice time, great on draws and is a responsible player. He is no more than a 2nd liner don't get me wrong, but matt stajan is no more than an ECHLer. If 'matty' wasn't from Toronto, the fans here would have despised him...

They likely can afford both, then they can run:
Seguin
Bozak
Monahan (maybe after next year)

Once Monahan gets a bit of experience he can flip into the top 6. Regardless, I wouldn't want Bozak for 8 years.

I`m cringing right now.....

If there was a way for the Flames to get Seguin without letting go of Baertschi, Brodie or a first round pick I say do it. Not sure if a package like Gaudreau, Backlund and a 2nd would get it done. Maybe Backlund, Glencross and a Second? Giordano, Backlund and a 2nd? Just tossing ideas out there, not sure what Boston fans think.

As far as Bozak is concerned, I wouldn`t mind if he signs in Calgary, even at 5 mil. But I wouldn`t want it for more than 3 years or so. The Flames need someone skilled to play with Baertschi and right now we don`t have anyone.

I agree, anything longer than 3 years on Bozak will be a disaster. Personally I hope we don't sign him at all.

“If I were to trade Tyler, it’d be for an elite young prospect or player,” admitted Chiarelli, adding, “He’s an elite young player who had an average year. He’s 21 and I expect big things from him.I wasn’t satisfied with his year and he wasn’t either, so we’ll move on, but he’s a hell of a player.”

You need to offer something to Boston that would make them salivate a little...Seguin will not be moved for a "fair" price. It's all media hype, I really dont see anything here.

For what Bozak wants if say there's more players that are better then him on the open market available at the same price.

As for seguin of course iti would be great to have him, but I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay the price. Guadreau is looking like a 3rd round steal, different player from Brendan Gallagher but its the Sam idea. And next years 1st could very well be top five. Kessel may be a good player but even now I wouldn't have done that deal

As long as we don't have to give up Baertschi, Brodie or a 1st I would look at it for sure.

Gaudreau, Backlund (or GlenX) and a 2nd.

If it was Bozak for 3 x 5 = 15 I would be fine with it.

Is it overpayment? Yes. But they need someone to play with Baertschi and it could be a good fit.

I highly doubt those offers would even be in the ballpark. No offense, They probably hang up the phone laughing if they got offered those. Assuming it would cost a roster player, 1st round pick, prospect and maybe even more from any interested team in Seguin.

I think they want prospects or young players with cap friendly contracts. So 1 of Gio or GlenX plus picks might be more appealing.

For 3yrs at 3.5 then maybe. WIthout Kessel and/or Lupul I think Bozak is just a mediocre third liner.
