It might be a dream but I'm hoping Barkov is available at #5.

The three options for the Canes on Sunday should be:

1. Nichushkin
2. Barkov
3. Trade to 7 or 8 and pick up a top 4 dman

Anything else and I'll be throwing my remote at the TV.

So with Carolina's pick who would you guys like to see them pick considering Jones MacKinnon and Drouin and then whomever Nashville selects before you guys take the podium??

I think Barkov or Monahan is your best option personally if either are availably! You guys need depth at the C position and or a good Dman to go along with the young Ryan Murphy!

The canes need a d man. Rasmus or nurse.

^They are not going to draft a d-man, that is for sure.

Can't imagine Drouin dropping that far.

What do you think it would take for this move to be possible? And would you want to do it?

No longer division rivals, it actually could make some sense. I'd wonder what the cost would be since the drop isn't very far for Tampa. Maybe the Canes 1st round pick, 2nd round pick and McBain?

I think the first and the second would be enough, but if they want to add McBain in that as well, I have no problem with that.
