Love how she is complaining that Ratner/Yormark want to completely revamp and rebuild the Coliseum. It's really a terrible thing
Also got a laugh at her jab at the Barclays Center, arguably the nicest arena I ever walked into.

I actually decided to read the blog...

Dee, I've actually defended you alot, considering you do take time outa your day to talk about my favorite team, not to mention youre a fellow isles fan...but cmon already...

enough with the negativity towards brooklyn. its almost immature at this point. Now they wanna rebuild the coliseum. Whats the problem with that? itll probably never happen anyway considering the history of BS that comes with it.

Do you get emails from Dee about hating on him? Because when I do this to waste of skin oxygen thief Matt Berry I get emails about why why why. I get tons of shots at the bar from people who like me.

From Newsday:

Capuano reviewed the game tape and tried to put a better spin on it, saying: "It wasn't as bad as I first thought it was."

Yep, it was a gem, Cappy.

if the islanders are going to win a game this series, tomorrow night is probably their best bet.

The thing that makes me laugh about the Brooklyn thing is, what is it, 30 miles away? 20, as the crow flies? I used to drive 7 miles to the grocery store when I lived in PA. Of course, the thing I like about it for myself is my car doesn't have to leave NJ.

I don't think our team as all that bad, and it's only going to get better. The problem the other night was that if you play a team like Pittsburgh, and you play like cr*p. you're going to get buried, and look like you never played hockey before in your life. Two more wins during the season, and we'd be up 1-0 on Montreal, just like Ottawa. Unless/Until Snow builds the perfect team, there are always going to be teams that are just simply better, like Pittsburgh.

That said, most of what happened the other night had to do with the fact that this team has seemingly forgotten everything it learned about playing defense in the last two months. I'd rather see them lose 1-0, tonight, if it means they got back to the game plan of blocking shots and passes, and aggressive defensive forechecking. I'm more concerned with how they play than what happens in this series, because as I said before, for them to beat Pittsburgh in a series would likely be a miracle. As long as they don't embarrass themselves, they'll have hope for the future.

PS- All you rag$ fans coming on here talking about how we're mediocre and we suck- if your team plays the way it played last night, it will get buried by Washington, never mind Pittsburgh.

I think that the Isles are really going to have to take this next game. It looks like Crosby will be back along with Orpik. One of the biggest issues the Isles seemed to have is that Pittsburgh, though the hits were even, really seemed to knock around the Isles. I believe that this is going to be the deciding factor in the series. The pens just seem to have a toughness top to bottom that the Isles lack. That said, the Isles could really make a statement tonight. They're going to have to.

It will be a fun game to watch. Here's hoping the Isles show up and make a series of it.

Also, I really hope JT quickly adapts to the playoff style of hockey. He's putting himself in positions to take huge hits. The pens will keep attacking him and all it could take is one borderline, or even clean, hit and we could be looking at another injured superstar. (The last thing this league needs.) I really enjoy watching him play, but even as a pens fan, started to get concerned about the positions he found himself in.

I think th Isles jus eed to play better and keep it simple. That should make them more competetive. I they can't take te seies then they need to make it respectable and buon that for next year.

I don't know- that looked like a shoulder to me- the real problem is that nowadays in the NHL, some guys are 6'8", and other guys are 5'8". You line a guy up with your shoulder, he looks down at his feet instead of skating with his head up, as he was (or should have been) taught at age 3, a nose gets broken and a concussion occurs. What are you supposed to do, just let guys skate across the blue line unimpeded? We already have that game- it's called basketball, and it sucks.

Years ago, this would have been a lesson learned.....and we move on...now it's an excuse for the d*uchebag media who never put a pair of skates on in their lives to whine about something about which they know nothing....wait....that's what their job apparently entails, no matter what they're writing about....never mind....

I think that's what I mean by taking this next game. If they don't I believe the series could get out of hand. For the Isles to build off of this they definitely need to at least pull a game or two out. With Crosby and Orpik getting close to returning, tonight is most likely their best chance.

No, they already took their single most important lesson from this playoff, which was learning about playoff intensity and adversity. I guarantee that game will be fresh in the mind well beyond this series.
