Won because Crosby got hurt, but still a great accomplishment on his part. Finishing third last must be very disappointing for him though.

Won because he scored more points than everyone else in the league, last I checked.

Marty is an absolute animal! At times this year he had some defensive blunders but he made up for it with his points. Marty deserves a better fate when it comes to the standings and I'm not sure how long he is willing to wait for it. I mentioned this yesterday in your last blog. We are clearly in yet another rebuild and when Marty signed his last contract he wanted to WIN. At 38 he can't afford to wait for another rebuild which is why as much as I hate to say it this coming year may be his last in a Lightning uniform. Congrats Marty, I just hope your teammates put a better effort out so you can finish your career with the Lightning.

He's a class act and a role model to the rest of us smaller guys. He continues to impress despite his age.

Amazing, a real hall-of-fame player, pure determination and talent. Wish he was a Senator.

Agreed! You've got Conacher. With a little luck, maybe he can be Marty V2.0.

You have to figure St. Louis just punched his ticket to the HOF with this one.

Dude, come on. Everyone's happy for St. Louis, but everyone also knows that if Crosby played even 5 more games, much less a full season, there's no way anyone catches him for the Art Ross.

He had a try-out, but wasn't signed by Ottawa.

And Crosby didn't play five more games...
Of course Crosby would have won, but he didn't.

What if Crosby hit slump? What if he was hurt in some other way? Part of hockey is staying healthy and luck. So unless you win the (frank)ing lottery EVERY time you play or can tell me who's gonna win the cup this year I suggest you leave the fortune telling to the real liars.

I don't doubt his talent, he's great. What I doubt is his durability. That (frank)er can't stay healthy. Which is why I would take St. Louis over him.

I wouldn't go that far. I'd take Crosby over St. Louis any day of the week, but the reality is that St. Louis won the trophy. St. Louis scored more points than Crosby.

In his prime? I'd take him. Crosby won't make it to 37 in the NHL. Tavares is one I'd take over Crosby too. Kid has no one on that team and the (frank)er can play!

You're kidding right? If Crosby plays the whole season St Louis doesnt get within 25 points of him. Even if Crosby play 2 or 3 more games he would have won scoring title. So congrats to Marty but let's be realistic here.

You're completely missing the point. Of course Crosby would have won IF he had played more games. The reality, though, is that he didn't. Who scored more points in the 2013 season? Last I checked, St. Louis is being handed the trophy. It's about what the players did on the ice, not what they could have done.

no,you be realistic...im 100% sure he would have been within 25 pts of him with only a handful of season games left...crosby is good but YOU be realistic here again, he plays amongst the best players in the league, sorry in the world...tavares doesn't, st louis doesn't ... ovechkin doesnt.....i agree with you 100% that he would have won the scoring title had he not been injured, but im 100% sure not by 25+ pts of second place...

and michael is right, at the end of the day whats done is done, whats happened has happened and theres no changing it, and in the end st louis came out on top because a 37 year old can stay healthy playing against a bunch of young studs triple his size and weight, and half his age...and come out on top, while a young star like crosby cant keep up with the physicality of the NHL and impact of the hits ...and hes what, 23-26? come on

I'm 38 I can't imagine doing what MSL does, We are all happy for Marty but why do people always have to whine about other players, (frank) Crosby if that wussy played in the 70's he would of had only played 1 year any of the Broad street Bullies would of took a slap shot to the face they would finish the shift go off miss 1 and be back all bandaged up and wouldn't miss a game, God I hate Crosby

I'm at an event tonight during the draft lottery, so if the Lightning do happen to win it I do apologize in advance. Will have something up later if they do.
