More or less what I was thinking...though a Reimer/Kiprusoff tandem would certainly increase the Leafs' chances in the playoffs.

Is Stuart Percy available if the leafs were to trade for kipper?

Just saw a scouting report of Percy on twitter via NHL Young Guns Daily (@YoungGunsDaily) and he seems like he could fit well in CGY.

Reimer and Kiprusoff is a nice tandem, Reimer would learn a lot from him. The question is the assets that it will take.

So Gillis states there are four teams interested in Loungo- but its probably only the Leafs.

Now Nonnis is tied to Kiprosoft on the same day. I'd say this is an offsetting negotiating through the media.

But I really hope NOTHING happens! No goalie trades for the leafs!

Ya he's not coming to the Leafs to backup Reimer..

If it's between Luongo and Kiprusoff I'd take Kipper in a heartbeat, if only for the contract situation.

I wonder though if this is a tactic to put some pressure on Vancouver who they're apparently talking with again. If I'm Gillis and I hear this, I'm breathing into a paper bag right now.

My sources say they're working on a trade for Miller who they will then make available.

Again, why would the Leafs downgrade their goaltending by acquiring Luongo or Kipper?



Unless they prefer a solid veteran backup and don't care about cap hits it makes no sense.
