Why would adding a top 9 forward in Morrow make the Penguins less interested in adding a top 6 forward like Iginla?

If I were Shero...Id'g grab another heart and soul player that hasn't won a cup...he has one with Morrow...why not go for Iginila too?

LA's lack of a first round pick (traded last year in Carter Deal) may remove LA from suitors.

Two less buyers in pitt and LA drops demand greater than the reduction of supply due Morrow's trade

the price of poker is dropping

Morrow can be a top 6 guy for you.

From what I've gathered, the team is more interested in prospects and roster players than picks.

I wouldnt exactly say pittsburgh is out because of Morrow.. still think they could afford Iginla.

I still believe he goes to boston, but wow if pittsburgh added Iginla aswell, just hand over the cup now.

i agree, adding morrow i dont think means that iggy isnt comming. could mean morrow will fill a roster spot that will be gone with an iggy trade. pitts is loaded with prospects as well.

im saying this too not because im a habs fan, but seeing iggy in boston makes me feel sick. worst place for a guy with his class to go is bos.

I agree....the Pens didn't really give up much...and INCREASED the amount of draft picks they have in their organization in the Morrow deal. I don't see how it takes them out of it. Does it make it less likely? Perhaps...but who knows, maybe they swing for the fences on this one. Or maybe they can agree to an extension with IGGY for 3 years 12 million. In any case, they are still in on him IMO.

As a Sharp fan I would do this if I were Calgary.

We need a new captain, Sharp can be that guy.

honestly, I can't see the Flames moving him unless the offers start improving.

The Hawks seem to be offering mi-range guys, Who might be NHL players one day. Pass

Not sure what Boston is offering, but I doubt Hamilton is in play. I'm thinking pass

And I can't see the Kings moving Bernier or any of their young players because they are playing as good or better than their high price guys. Pass on Toffoli for me.

At the end of the day, If i'm Feaster I need a 1st, a blue chipper and a decent roster player or Iggy finishes the year and likely his career in Calgary.

He's gone man....it's over and he wants out. Feaster will get the most he can possibly get. Bernier & Muzzin maybe? Subban and a First? We'll see.

I know how you feel about getting a goalie back

Seriously though....they are gonna need one! It would also free up Kipper.

It's not my number 1 scenario, but both LA and Boston have solid goaltending prospects.

I can't see the Kings trading Bernier with Jonathan "50/50" Quick in goal. Muzzin has been the Kings best defencman as well, so I doubt they are in any hurry to move him.

Subban and a 1st maybe, but I doubt it. More like Spooner, and roster player and a 1st.

I'd say the Pens and the Bruins are the frontrunners.

We have only heard of his initial list of teams, he may be asked to provide a few more. I think he has already decided to move on or they would have extended him. We cant not trade him now or he walks for free & its not like we are playoff bound. Remember Dutter saved Lombardi's a$$ last year, so if he is pushing hard & he doesnt care what he gives up to win today attitude, you may be surprised what L a prepared to cough up.

If we had to take a goalie I would want Bernier. Subban is still a couple years away and looked brutal at the WJC.

Yeah he looked a little shaky...personally I liked him, I went to the camp when it was at winsport and he looked solid to me. Plus he is UNREAL in shootouts, and that's HUGE these days.

I would agree though, Bernier is more proven and more ready, problem is he wouldn't come with a first rounder, maybe just another prospect.

Bernier + or Subban + a First?

Might be worth the risk, Ramo and Kipper to bridge the gap until Subban is ready?
