Lightning fans should want Ruff. As a Sabre fan, I do not want Ruff anywhere near our division. Ruff will land somewhere. Please not Tampa.

I'd love for Ruff to go to Tampa. Stamkos scoring production guaranteed to plummet.

Anyone catch HNIC afterhours last night? They talked about the Kaleta-Miller flap for more than a few minutes. PJ Stock actually stuck up for Kaleta and Weekes said Miller needs to stop talking and worry about his game. That tool Glen Healy called out Bucky Gleason by name and sh*t-talked Kaleta, predictably so, I might add. I like it that Kaleta has even gotten into the heads of guys like Milbury and Healy, who can barely mask their ties to the Bruins and Leafs while speaking during national broadcasts.

Also, Bucky Gleason had some pretty good ideas about Sabres management in his column this morning:

I HAVE BEEN SAYING LAFONTAINE FOR PRESIDENT OF THIS CLUB!

Hot Stove Tonight:

- Iginla trades talks on there way - price is 1st rd picks or young great prospects.

- Florida might move Campbell?

- Luongo will be tough with his contract to move.

- Nash hit? Should there have been a suspension, panel thought NOT.

- College FA - Dekeyser from WM will take calls from all 30 teams

The problem I have with the NHL's explanation of the Nash hit, was that they claimed the head wasnt principal point of contact.

If you watch the replay of the Edler hit on Smith from the angle that shows Smith's chest, you can see that Edler makes first contact with his chest, not his head. Yet the NHL took the reverse angle and made it appear that primary contact was with Smith's head. There was contact, but it wasnt primary.

So for them to say that Nash's hit wasnt primary to the head therefore its not suspendable is ridiculous.

You suspend the action. He came from the blind side, left his feet, and delivered an elbow to the head area. Cant believe anyone is trying to defend that hit.

The Sabres had a high scoring team under Ruff for like 2 seasons immediately after the lockout. Ruff hated that run-n-gun offense style of play.

Afinogenov had a very productive season in Atlanta after he got out from Ruffs doghouse.

i am so bored with this argument already Miroslav Satan and Zhitnik , nuff said, got thier money as UFA's never produced near the levels they produced in Buffalo

and Afinagenov had 61 points in82 games in ATL the same total he had in 56 games in buffalo and the year before that he had 73 points in 77 games so his 2 most productive seasons were under Ruff

Facts don't lie its a BS arguement

Gleason also forgot to mention Phil Housley for coach, after what he did with the US team this past winter i would think he would be first in line for any head coach vacancies

Yep, Gleason throws a lot of poop.

Like Bucky saying that Yzerman hiring Boucher in Tampa Bay was far superior to everything Regier was doing.
