Tampa Lightning GM Steve Yzerman has fired his head coach, Guy Boucher.

The Bolts, like the Sabres, have been a disappointing team for most of this lockout-shortened season. The Bolts find themselves in 14th place (27 points) in the East.

Yzerman's team scores goals by the bushels full, however, their team D and goaltending have been awful this season.

Is Lindy Ruff the next coach of the Bolts?

Ruff was fired by the Sabres in February, capping an impressive 16 year coaching career in Buffalo.

To add intrigue to this scenario is that the Lightning will be divisional opponents of the Sabres next season. Re-alignment will make the Sabres-Bolts rivalry a tad bit more intense.

Just like that, the Sabres have won three in a row against two tough division foes, and the playoff are withing arm's reach. However, not everyone in Pegulaville is feeling the love.

He also scored a beauty heel drag on Carey Price with 38 seconds remaining in the second period. Oh by the way, the Sabres have no scored PPGs in four straight games.

Ryan Miller made 38 saves for the win, twenty of which were of the game-changing variety. Miller was outstanding between the pipes and gave his team the chance to win.

On Tuesday, you were imploring Darcy Regier to sell off Miller, Pominville, and all of his assets in order to insure that the Sabres will lose out and have the inside skinny on Seth Jones, Jonathon Drouin, or Nathan MacInnon on the upcoming NHL draft in June.

The Sabres have now won three games in a row versus Montreal-Toronto-Montreal, and the team is now only two points out of the eighth playoff spot in the Eastern conference.

I listened to Ryan Miller's post game. and the veteran goalie is not ready to anoint his team a playoff team. Yet,

We went through a really dark kind of time, but something had to come from it," Miller said. "I think when we stick to a patient game, we can play with teams that have established a good reputation, that have established a good record like Montreal. But it's a matter of doing it night in and night out consistently, and we'll have to build that consistency and recognize what it does on the ice."

The Sabres are now 13-15-4, and they have pulled to within two points of the eighth and final playoff berth in the Eastern Conference. Miller said that there's a long road ahead. Thats why he doesn't look at the standings every day.

"Maybe it helps some of the guys in the room, but for me, we're going to need to win hockey games right to t
