the guys on nhl home ice xm worked it out 48 games in 99 days if you took 99 days out of any point in the season it would work out to 46 games so as they stated ont he show it only adds 1 game per month, but you will here alot of fools claiming its tight schedule, like our resident fool has been stating

The guy will help for sure but have a little pride and dump the guy for anything. We don't need players that don't want to be here.

Garth snow should show some jam and trade that guy before the first game of the season. How do you let a guy with this many problems into your lockeroom. How many times does this guy have to show he doesn't wanna be here. I feel like Snow's an abused housewife who keeps coming back for more.

To me it's ridiculous how many on here still want this guy on the team? They use Nabakov as a reference who I don't think is that good and I still do not want here. If a player doesn't want to play for you than (frank) them. It's not good for the integrity of the team, how the rest of the league views you, nor other players on the Islanders who may or may not care about the team. Having someone who does not want to play on your team in a team sport is a no brainer giant fat bad move. Do your job Snow and find someone else and trade the guy. You're a GM that's what you get paid to do.

That is exactly what will happen unless Vis makes a bigger stink out of it and forces them to save face. I'm actually hoping the latter happens. Snow has to be forced into making the right decisions sometimes, sure sign of incompetence.

havent been able to find a free link to the whole article, did snow just buy him a plane ticket or has he said he's coming to camp? I still don't know whether he's even going to show up.

looks like not

StapeNewsday: #Isles booked flight for Visnovsky today. He wasn't on it. Appears this will be settled between NHL and KHL now.

It is a bit of a toss up. If you want to whine about playing for the Islanders and not play then so be it. It will affect the career of whomever is doing the whining believe me. The negatives of having someone who doesn't want to play here on the team far out weigh the positives no matter how good they are. Even for a team as desparate as we are for Dmen. I understand the reasoning behind not wanting to play here as many of you know what my opinion is of the state of this franchise but that in no way gives someone a clause out of being a PROFESSIONAL athlete taking on said players makes us look desperate(whether we are or not is irrelevant)and in turn dumb. Snow needs to sell this team and its plan to players, thats what he gets payed for. Anyone who thinks otherwise and feels bad for the guy because of Wang is completely numb. I recently took on a job that some of my colleagues put their noses up to because it was sold to me by administrators and management. Thats his job for christs sake. Some idiot on here will fire back with, " well cptmjl if you're such a great GM then who would you get?". Guess what? I'm not a GM, but that doesn't excuse Snow from hopefully having a little more information than me on the subject? The Isles need to get respect back from the league and its players and to do that they need to earn it and show they truly want to win. Taking on a player like Vis will not facilitate that. Don't make a bid on one FA make a bid on five. If they say (frank) off then we and the league know you tried and you have at the very least the will to win. Make some sound management decisions and some trades to build around your prospects. Don't have a coach who is so obviously not good to even the most casual hockey fan coach your team. Believe me the players will take notice and want to jump on board with that more than anything else. More so than a new arena which is not even an excuse any longer. Phew, just ran with that one. Know I got a bit off topic but think I answered your question?

Snow thinks he's selling himself as the bigger man in all of this when all he looks like is a clown. Can't wait till we toll his contract and flip him for a pick and he winds up going to a better team. The saga continues... Ridiculous
