Boucher did that without Galchenyuk too. His next few games will be interesting to see if he can keep it up while the WJC(which he should be at) is still going on

I was never expecting this kind of production from butler, even in the ahl.

Yeah, I was expecting around 5 goals and 5 assists and then a broken dejected soul.

Good to see Butler putting up goals and points. Would think there is a spot for him to win on either our 2nd or 3rd line.

been looking into Teddys numbers. He seems to be getting progressively worse as a player -_-

He's playing on a line with Gionta and Sestito. He doesn't even sniff top six minutes. On another site, people who have gone to see Albany games have come back with positive impressions about Tedenby, but said that Gionta and Sestito were awful with him.

That does sound like an awful line for him. But at the same time if guys like Pesonen can come in and get first line minutes in their first year with the club, I would expect Teddy to establish himself on the top line at this point

I think they are worried about his defensive game. From the games I watched, I like Pesonen. He's smart, speedy, and not afraid to get dirty. Offensively, he is average but it's not like he is awful. Reminds me of a Zubrus or Bernier type player, but faster and smaller.

The top six has been set for a while, mainly because it has been producing.

I think we definitely screwed teddy up. You can't expect a prospect to develop going in and out of the lineup getting 5 minutes of playing time.

Whitney-Zalewski-Butler
Pesonen-Josefson-Anderson

Both lines play well together and have a lot of chemistry. Anderson is like the Devils Zubrus.

Yea I didn't mean to poop on Pesonen, he's alright. I'm just disappointed Tedenby isn't panning out and claiming a top spot in the lineup. Crazy to think we took him two picks behind Jordan Eberle.. Two picks can make a world of difference

Damn that's a small lineup. Does Pesonen look like he could play with the big Devs?

These talks today are the only thing I'm interested in. Going to NYC with the girl and her friends for new years.. and its going to be a stressful, expensive, madhouse. i'm 24 paying off college loans.. i don't have bottomless pockets.
SO, I'll be eagerly awaiting the news, whatever news it is. And then I can either celebrate the new season as a broke man with a happy soul, or celebrate the new year as a broke man with a broke soul.

the beat goes on. Go Devils

it just seems like everyone loves teddy and thinks he is going to be a very good player, sure the devils haven't used him right (mins wise) but he also has to show that he can be responsible and play the game the coaches want, he isnt exactly that responsible in the defensive end and he doesnt have the skill and shot that puts fear in other teams or can put it in the net enough to warrant that risk at the moment (think of kovy when he first came here, he wasnt good defensively but he could change the game in a second, and has the other team on edge when he is on the ice, yes he is a total different animal than teddy but you get the point)

he should be able to impress the coaches down in albany and earn his was into the top 6, he hasnt and he is the one who needs to step up and show he wants to take that step and be more effective, doesnt need to be shown through stats, if his playing improves and they feel he could help out more on the 2nd line and stats improve on the second line then they will probably look into that

Yeah, I never go into the city for new years. terrible (frank)ing idea. it's just one giant cluster (frank) and it costs a million dollars to do anything.

Haha, try to make the best of it. I personally hate giant crowds. All my friends just get together and keep it low key. the less hassle the better in my opinion.

I have no idea how the draft works in the lockout year. I hope somebody can explain how it was done last time because I don't remember.

devils have 1 ball, there are a few teams with 3 and a bunch with 2, so chances of a high pick are not too good but chances of us being higher than 29th like last year are better

yeah its either this year or next, but if the players go through with decertifying there is no draft so i dont know what happens then (regarding if the pru center would host the draft in 2014 or whenever the next draft would be) as teams could sign anyone as a free agent

pretty much they look at the previous 3 years and teams can have upto 3 balls, depending on if they made the playoffs or not, if they won the lottery before and some other stuff, if you didnt make the playoffs and didnt win a lottery you get 3 balls (toronto for example) and if you made the playoffs 1 year but not the others i believe it is 2 balls, and the least amount you can get is 1 ball (devils only have 1 ball)

and then the draft order is determined by seeing what ball is picked, and any duplicates are tossed away (team cant pick twice) and once the order is set for the 1st round it keeps that order
