My guess is Jets have a better chance.

There will be no NHL season and once Teebow takes over with Jesus on his side then the Jets will make a run.

I had to write about something other than the lockout- and this seemed logical based on some of the similarities.

Jets, no question.

Both teams will win a cup before the Canucks do.

Could be a tie depending on how/when realignment goes down. I don't think either one makes it this season (lockout aside)

I like the jets top 4 and goaltending ,over the leafs.But toronto has the deeper better group of forwards.Too close to call really

this year they will be in a tie for both first and last at the same time

next year jets should have a better chance with guys like bogo, kane and actually have a good goaltender with less questionmarks

Jets need more scoring. Leafs need to stop other teams from scoring. I say the Jets will make the playoffs first being in a soft division.

Leafs get Luongo then LEafs. No Lou, Jets.

I think the only team from now till 2050 not to make the playoffs will be the Leafs. Everyone else will win the Cup at least once. I then think the NHL will probably just kick the Leafs out (they can continue in the AHL should they wish). However, Leafs Brass will be invited to special events, charity events etc, and asked to donate for the general wellbeing of the NHL. This is what i believe will happen.

The Jets are currently in an easier division, have better goaltending and defence, but will likely again have a brutal travel schedule until some form of realignment.

The Jets also have a slightly better aggregate specialty teams efficiency (Though, neither is that great and there really is not much of a difference).

The only thing the Leaf's currently have on the Jets is upfront scoring, and again, not by much.

So unless there is a drastic change (trade or player becomes a star), I would pick the Jets.

The Leafs averaged 2.77 goals per game last year.

The Jets average 2.70.

A difference of 6 goals for the season less.

The difference is not as wide as you believe.

If Jokinen and Antropov are 1 - 2 in league scoring, than the Jets.

Yes completely forget about Wheeler Kane and Little. If Bogo is healthy then Jets will have a shot this year. I think they are closer.

One of them will have to make the playoffs soon or once the shine wears off a Jet will be hauling them out off town..Again...

lol worst deal in franchise history? Hardly. Even if Seguin turns into the stud he should, it's not even that bad of a deal since Kessel has also turned into a bona fide star. Who knows about Dougie Hamilton at this point, he's never played in the NHL.
