A year in the AHL will do him good. Maybe it's just me, but he doesn't come off as the most confident person I've ever seen. Let him inflate his ego for awhile and hopefully that confidence will transfer over to his NHL game. Aside from the obvious fact that he was buried on the 4th line with a bunch of washed up trash all season, my gut tells me he was really self-conscious about the finer points of the game (off puck play, defense, etc...). I think if he can rediscover his offensive talent, he'll be a little more at ease.

That's what he was told to focus on. I wasn't crazy about what was said about him from the get go last season...Snow and I think Cappy saying they're not concerned about offense from him, but he has to work on x, y, and z. They were acting like he was a player like, maybe Semin, who had already exploded offensively and needed work on the defensive end of the game. I don't think they ever let him get comfortable because they were essentially making him a checking/defensive forward before he ever even established an offensive game at the NHL level. By the way, I'll beat this same drum again and say working on stuff like that could have just as easily, and more effectively, been done in juniors, where he had already established an offensive game and was a lot more confident.

Snow finally makes a trade, Lubo for a 2nd round pick. Say the season gets canceled, Lubo walks away without ever having to step foot on the ice for them and the Isles lose a 2nd round pick in a what is supposed to be deep draft.
