I'm sure the regular Sound Tigers reporter can easily side step Art Staple, who constitutes the entire main stream media contingent regularly covering the Islanders. |

Is Barclay's Center where the Isles will most likely be relocated to when they need a new arena?
From pictures, it looks like a nice arena. |

Nino doesn't belong on an NHL sheet of ice. He's lucky he gets a chance to prove himself at the AHL level. He may not even be ready for that, based on last year's performance. |

I think that hit really took away is confidence...maybe time in the AHL will be good for his confidence and he could be the player we though he would
How well would you have done with Pandalfo and Reasnor on your line? they're terrible...kid didnt have the chance to compete |

Great News! Yom Kippur is the day of Attonement, so after they atone for their sins against the fans and especially the hard working people who they have cheated out of hard earned dollars (vendors, restaurant and ba employees, areana and team staff, jounalists, other leagues, etc) maybe they will set the captives free. Probably not...
I don't know how we all still care. Oh yea, love of the game. Ahhh puck, ice, relaxation- troubles melt away...
Screw you bastids. I whould be thankful with millions a year for anything and do it happily and not squable to get a little more. Oh my, imagine if it was for doing one of my favorite things to do... |

And if Staple covers Bridgeport like he covers the Isles, the Sound Tigers' reporter won't even have to do that much side-stepping. |

I am thinking this with all the nonsense right now going on in the NFL the NHL should get a deal done and get the guys on teh ice. I know fans who are going to stop watching football cause of the refs perfect time for the NHL to swoop in and get more fans and revenue. Unfortuantely the NHL is beyond dumb and this will never happen but the can make the sport relevant again in the states |

I have absolutely no idea if this is true or not, but we were talking about the NFL refs last night in the dressing room after our game, and someone said that if the NFL gave the refs want they wanted, it would amount to an extra $5,000 per team per game.
That does seem like too much money for a league that makes a jillion dollars a year... |

Well yeah and it seems that this might go on all year. Themore it goes on the fans are going to get disgusted. The NHL can swoop in and maybe sway some fans there way to at least let them look at there product. |

I can't possibly imagine how the NFL could continue with this.
From what I've heard on radio, players are now bullying the officials to make calls. And it is working.
It's embarrassing. |

The numbers I saw on ESPN were another $16.5 million for the refs over 5 years, in which time the NFL's gross revenue would be about $60 billion. |

it is also the coaches the fans themselves. They make the calls the fans want to hear it is really bad. I think they should do what the NHL has. Have a crew like in New York and every time it goes to review make those guys in New York give the final outcome. It is pathetic the NFL right now. With no NHL it leaves us baseball (BLAH) and good ole NBA |
