4 million is the max I would give Smid... I would even be hesitant to give him that much.

I agree he probably gets in and around there, but he really has never had two good years in a row. Heck last year was the first full year he put together that he was consistent for most of it.

The Eberle deal is almost exactly what i predicted but i was off by a penny. I still think he should have asked for a penny more than Hall just to rub it in. Cause that's what I would do. I would frame that penny and put it over their mantle. That would be hilarious.

Eberles is not good though he is GREAT! Its kind of semantics cause if the Oil hadn't offer sheeted Penner they would have still picked 12th overall and i imagine they would have taken Ebs at 12. Either way, that gap toothed mother (frank)er gave us a cup run in 06 and hopefully in an indirect way will be contributing to another one real soon

Wonderful contracts for those kids. I was watching NHL network Canes vs. Oilers and I really enjoyed seeing EDM in the playoffs (well, Cup final!). Hope a few of MN's prospects turn out in the next three years so EDM and MIN can just take over the Western Conference.

If we don't look like we are going to be close to the title, and EDM is I'M ALL IN WITH THEM.

I know Nucks fans say they have no rivalry with MIN, and to them they might not, but here (stemming from 2003, and Mr. Bertuzzi's comments about tickets) we just love it when they come here and we stomp on them. Luongo never even starts in the Xcel anymore. Maybe once we become (this year hopefully) more competitive Nucks fans will feel a bit of a rivalry.

I remember a supposed deal bein in place. He then said he wanted to be here long term. Maybe im wrong.
Either way, he was very suspect before last year. Even with that, alot of oiler fans are goin to far with how good he is. He came along way and im happy with him on the 2nd pair, but imo hes gotta do that and more for a couple seasons to get paid
