I gotta tell ya, i know he's the Rangers beat writer, but he calls it how it is. Even when it comes to his bashing of Torterella. The fact of the matter is, he chirps the islanders, because the islanders deserve to be chirped. It gets tiring after years of reading Newsday articles who are so middle of the road when it comes to the isles. Larry Brooks laughs at this organization and rightfully so...

Your right. Larry is 100% right on the Islanders. This is how the rest of the league views the Islanders. It's sad but true.

If Wang would have just hired a proven GM and let that GM run the show with spending a little more money Wang would hear very little complaints. Most fans understand why the payroll is not high. They cannot understand some of the lousy decisions Wang/Snow have made.

The best part of his writing is that he's not afraid of getting fired or locked out by the isles, as he doesnt work for them. Its a breath of fresh air to have someone publicly call them out for what they are....a joke!

Side note: I love how Garth says "I spoke to Lubimar and he's ok". As if this guy didnt file a grievence to NOT play on the isles. Save us the rhetoric Garth.......we all know whats up!

The "truth" is that the isles will not spend until the lease expires in 2015. We all understand this, but whats troublesome is constantly hearing them b.s us with the same garbage about the team taking the next step. They're not taking any step except to the side. I'd be ok with them just saying, "listen, until 2015 we're not doing a thing because we're losing money, and cannot turn a profit until the lease expires". I'd be ok with that, because its honesty. Every year i feel like i bought a used car, and the previous owner knew about all the problems, didnt tell me, and sold it to me anyway.....

Right again. Garth/Charles make comments about expecting to make the playoffs and we have the pieces to make trades and when these things do not happen the fans are rightly going to be upset. They cannot back up the talk and it's the fans fault for getting upset.

Frustrated is how I feel. Every team in our division make efforts to improve their team. The islanders for one reason or another do not. We're being fed white castle, and being told........hey its red meat. All the teams in our division are serving NY Strips, Filet Mignon, and Ribeyes........and we're getting belly bombers!
