Its good that he signed, but he won't be going anywhere but back to Edmonton in September. No need to throw him to the wolves. Let him develop and turn pro when he's developed enough and ready.

So much for reading the look on his face when he was drafted.

This guy is going to be a stud, not this year but soon. Wish he played outside of the Atlantic.

a lot of these first rounders this year have more of an incentive to sign there elc now just in case entry level deals are pushed to 4 years instead of 3 in the next cba

Exactly, great to see an intelligent Ranger fan on these boards. I am sure Reinhart's agent was pushing Snow to get the entry-level contract completed as quickly as possible, as the NHL owners are looking to increase the Entry Level Contract to five-years, as well as increasing the number of season it takes to make it to unrestricted free agent status.

As for the Islanders, this is another great step towards a brighter future. This kid is going to be a phenomenal number two, shutdown defenseman with possible number one potential. Along with Hamonic and the more offensive-minded defensemen such as deHaan and Ness, the Islanders future on defense doesn't look all that bad.

The best part about today, though, was the declaration by Ratner about the desire to have the Islanders in Brooklyn. That puts plenty of pressure on Nassau County to expedite something, because otherwise, Wang will definitely open his ears to the offers from Brooklyn. With owners such as Prokhorov and Jay-Z, money won't be an issue.

Good signing for now, but in a few years he'll be just another guy that will bolt the organization the first chance he gets.

No sleep till Brooklyn.
Looks more and more to me like this will be the Isles new home after 2015. It would be one of the best things to happen to this organization since JT. Corporate sponsors will be a planty, a brand new rink with tons of public transportation, playing in NYC, and being minutes from Manhattan...I just dont see the downside. The current arena and area will no longer be a reason for players not wanting to come here.
While this idiot Mangano wants to start from scratch again with these RFQ's, you have a guy with a brand spankin new arena 15 miles west who WANTS THE TEAM!!
Get er done Charles...

Relax. Get all the sleep you need. It will get done. I didnt read what happened today. Only what you guys are writing. I'd be surprised if there wasnt some kind understanding between the two camps already.

Brooklyn at present is the only logical place. May turn out to be the best place to.

Nassau is gonna regret this big time in a few years.

The guy looked like somebody shot him when he was selected. There is no denying it. Christ even xXx admitted to it. Whether he signed or not doesn't change the fact the kid did look happy about getting picked by the Isles.

Maybe he had a bit of indigestion. He could have had lunch at Primanti Bros in Pittsburgh.

No I'm not. Go back and watch it. I'm sure it's on you tube. You'll deny or argue anything if it even sounds negative and has to do with the Islanders. You're the least objective person on here. Even more so than me

I'm just here for the fun of it... I have been around since the beginning, so the Isles have been playing with my emotions forever.

I can't get mad @ anybody.

It just bugs me sometimes when some of the guys just cut up the team because others do it.

If they form their own opinion, and back it up... I'm good with that!!!

It's all good... I'm here 4 Life!!!

I did and I did. Watch the replay. He looked like someone wripped his nuts off. Not what you normally see from a kid that got selected fourth overall. Just saying...

I have to admit he has some credence to his statement.. When the Isles called his name.. the camera shot over to him & he didnt look excited at all. Now we both may have just read into it... but other players picked all get that Shat-eatting grin & clap & jump out of their seats.. Griff... none of that.

Thats not to say he EVER dreamed of not signing.. or asking for a trade or anything like that... he just didnt look too excited when picked... All im saying.. and i believe its all Cpt is saying as well
