If he wants a 3 yr deal I'd start at 2.5 and end at 3.5. No more than a 3 mil cap hit. |

For a 7th rounder. Anaheim turns it down though. 7th is alot more valuable. |

perhaps Philly used the Ville Leino model that the Sabres used last summer....a guy with one decent season....never a 20 goal scorer....and he got an avg. cap hit of 4,500,000...for 6 years...
JVR never did squat...and he got the same sort of $...
Hope the Flyers deal works out a little better...
atleast Vorecek has had a 3 decent years in a row..... |

Yeah I never liked the Leino move from the beginning. I mean we just got rid of one meat head that was screwing up cap space (Connolly) and over spent for another. Darcy loves to over pay!! |

1 year 3.5M - AlfieFever
for one of our top 2 centers? i think 1 year is way too small. i say 4 years 15 mil |

ennis

well we do have the money. and its not like those issues cant be fixed by buying out someone elses contract since Pegula could easily do that. i WAS a fan of the move but i agree that he's so vastly underperformed, its mind boggling that he makes more than 1.5 mil a year |

They said on 55 he wants a short term deal. What that is I have no idea. 2yrs? 3yrs? |

ennis isnt really a "true center" He sucks at faceoffs. Hes just a puck possesson player that has more room to move around and dipsy duddle through the netrual zone.
Girgensons (sabres 1st round pick) - hes a true center and at the VERY LEAST will be in the AHL. But no joke 1st round picks even at 14 have been known to make NHL rosters. So who knows what happens if he does well in camp. He is probly 1 year away from the NHL though.
Justin Kea- Paul Gaustad Junior
Grigorenko- no explination needed |

short term? well i would settle for 2-3 years. i just think 1 is too little, id love to keep Ennis for at least 2. if he's underwhelming over this next season we could trade him! he would have 1 year left and we all know how much Darcy loves to trade only guys with one year left |

But if you buy out a contract half the cap for double the years goes against you. I'd hate to have 2 mil a year for 10 years against us. be better off sending him to Rochester and pay him 4 mil to play little league. |
