The Rangers should inquire about Heatley, who could still give you 30 goals and wouldn't cost as much as Nash i don't think. For Stepan, DZ, low 1st I'd pull the trigger on Nash and figure the center thing out with a FA like Hecht or maybe deal for Stastny. - Ranger71
that's a terrible deal for the rangers. You gut the 2 positions of strength. |

You still have Erixon to replace DZ, its losing Stepan that's the sticking point. You won't get Nash w/o those 2 most likely. |

Would like to see Gillis drop his price for Luo and just get a deal done so everyone can move on. This is going to end up biting him in the ass when he still hasn't moved Luo and the season is tarting. I would have taken Schenn and a pick for him from TO. |

not to mention it puts the rangers in cap hell. Dubi has to be going the other way just for cap reasons alone. |

If Giroux is slated to the top line down, either Schenn or Couts should eventually take over the 2nd line. One of them will have to go sooner or later. Since they just got Luke, it'd be cruel and unusual punishment to trade Brayden.
Meszaros + Couturier for Bobby Ryan. - khanlari
There is no reason to send Meszaros to the Ducks when their D is set. Unless you are taking Lydman back in the deal, it would make no sense to do that trade. It is probably going to take Vorechek, Couturier, and a 1st just to get Murray to call back. |

Yeah that's rough...you might as well lace em up and go out there
It sucks though, because as much as I like beating the Canadiens for the most part, the rivalry is better when both teams are strong, and I love the rivalry. Glad you guys added some more sandpaper...should make things interesting.
Best game I went to, besides the winter classic at fenway, was the bruins canadiens game that was 8-6 with the goalie fight, albeit it wasn't much of a fight. Just cool to see Thomas skate down to fight Price |

Agreed, but word is they won't take Dubinsky to keep their cap lower. The Rangers could swing it w/o him but they'd only have 3-4m left after that. |

Yeah... I don't really get that one, aside from that he had great chemistry with Gleason I guess... He might not even make the team if Murphy and one of Granagni or Sanguinetti steps up. |

Out of curiosity I am wondering what your definition of a long time is?
The current management team of the Canadiens has been in place for a month. So was it a management less organization that coveted this co called Defensemen? Was is parts of Chicago, Toronto, Boston and St.Louis (Bergevin, Dudley, Lapointe and Mellanby) that coveted him?
Please elaborate. - willey101
Pretty simple,
Long coveted + Montreal = Any french name |

Is it an Ek exclusive!? Only on HB.
Vancouver is asking too much. Its Vancouver's fault.
"sigh" OK Ek'. Best goalie by far on the market, and its "too much"? Come on man.
If T.O does not want a goalie that singlehandedly makes them a playoff threat, well then, they can go into the season with Reimer, Scrivens, Dan Ellis or Jonathan Bernier then. |

Why do you think SJ is the frontrunner for Nash if they aren't willing to give up either Pavelski/Couture?They don't have much else to spare and their farm is really weak. |

And we have seen Burke make Dumb deals too. Whats your point. At the time of the Beauchemin deal, it was a good deal for both sides. If Shultz stays with the ducks, it would still be a good deal. Murray is just an idiot so... |
