Crosby, Malkin and Neal. They're older so you don't have to wait 5 years to start winning and the refs are on their side so you can do whatever you want. Plus I like having depth and center and RNH is the only center in EDM's bunch.

Meh, let the Leafs tank one more season. If they draft MacKinnon they would have an extremely strong stock of prospects as well as quite a bit of cap space (all the bad contracts are up at the end of next year except Komi). It would just be a matter of convincing top end talent of signing in Toronto and the club would be in a good position. That being said Burke could be canned if it came to that.

Back to the list, I think T-Bay and Florida will be better than two of NJ, Carolina and Buffalo.

Vancouver is 3 hours to Kamloops, Calgary is 6-7 hours. So yeah, pretty close. You could probably find a good argument for him to sign with 4 or 5 Canadian teams.

I've lived in Langley BC(just outside of Van) for the past 4 years. My wife has family in Kamloops. Go there 3-4 times a year. We generally make it in sub 2 1/2 hours. You can keep your house, I've already lived in Calgary for one year and that was enough.
