The Admirals Dustin Tokarski would have something to say about being the best AHL goalie - TheFondler

I just don't understand how anybody could think Scrivens wasn't the best goalie in the AHL. Tokarski isn't the only one better. Its hard to compare # in the AHL when it comes to goalies. |

I don't understand why leaf fans want Luongo.. Why not give JR a shot to be healthy for a year and see what he can do, then you don't have to give up anything.. Plus he was doing great until he got Gionta'd - OrangeKrush
I don't want him. I don't think I would even want him if it were Luongo for Komisarek straight up. Too many years on the contract and way too much of a jam tart. Plus while he's certainly not a bad goaltender I don't think he's as good as he's made out to be. Let's face it, if he were that great Vancouver fans wouldn't be peddling him on here like a bunch of used car salesmen. They'd be whining about keeping him. |

It makes Chicago and San Jose contenders. For Toronto it gets them into the first round and for the Panthers it gets them past the first round. - Unholy_Forward
Since we were one goal short this year. I don't see Luongo as a need here. Next. |

Look at stats, plus team results...not like the admirals goalie was a slouch at the lower levels...i mean any goalie who back stops a team (and a young goalie at that) to an incredible undefeated streak and then carries that into the playoffs and continues and then out performs the opposing goalie in the finals, and wins a championship, id say hes better, its not a knock on scrivens, i like scrivens
edit, on top the Marlies boast a power house team of young talent and NHL players like frattin and gardiner that were on the team, i think were they not? i could be wrong but i thought they were in the AHL playoffs |

I think Lu is a massive upgrade on what they have. Also I hit the caution button on my tablet by mistake. So when the ref comes on here whining about stuff not being report worthy, it was me. |

No no, I'm sure I am happy that I moved out here I make more, and pay less, and I live in a gorgeous little city called Peace River.
Unless you mean I'm wrong about the amount of thefts, but that wasn't my point, it was someone else's. I love Toronto and I always try and inform the yocals about what an awesome city it is. - MutinyofSense

Clearly the fact that they r willing to even kick the tires suggests they have their doubts |

who says they have? and for the Hawks, dont they tight rope the cap and have issues? it would have to be an overpayment....i think now that im typing, a hossa for Lou works ...hockey and contract wise.
im new hear so i dont know all how things work, i got an idea tho |

luongo is the "perfect" mentor for markstrom and florida could use a little "star power."
in a few years, florida will have the same issue the canucks have now. a good young goalie ready to take over, and luongo.
by then, his contract will be more digestable.
and luongo will become a mercenary to whoever thinks they're a goalie away from winning the stanley cup.
not that i think luongo would want to go there but washington seems like a team that is luongo-worthy. |

Tall on has confirmed discussions redarding Luongo. I agree Lu for Hossa makes sense, providing Hossa is 100% healthy. However I think the odds of van and chi dealing given their recent history seems slim. Neither team wants to be the loser of that trade |
