if youre trying to say most points with 1 original six franchise then maybe you forget that Stan Mikita played his entire career with the Blackhawks and Steve Yzerman played his entire career with the Red Wings and they both have more points than him, with just 1 team, and Yzerman also has more career goals if you were implying leading scorer as goal scorer

So did Yzerman. So did Esposito. Or am I missing something?

On one hand he will be in line for a legacy like Stevens and Marty...or chase the money like Gomez and Martin...I think he knows a couple seasons with kovy and they could be the next Crosby/malkin...and with henrique not even in his prime the future could be very bright in new jersey

Yes, only four players can be inducted in a single year.

Which is why I have no problem whatsoever with the 2012 slate. If you could only pick three, I'd go with Sakic, Oates and Sundin. Shanahan/Bure is more of a judgment call (depends on how you weigh peak vs. longevity), but Bure has been eligible for several years now and was past due.

If Parise signs in NJ, the closer we are to hailing the accomplishments of Howsen in resolving the Nash trade. If Howsen waits out the process he will get one of the guys he really wants (Krieder, Couture or an equivalent talent from someone). All he has to do is get past the major UFA signings. After that he will own the only game in town. Contrary to other opinion, I believe the Bobby Ryan situation actually helps Howsen. Ryan is going to be resolved quickly. He will be dealt or they will figure out how to reconcile the hurt feelings. It will be settled before July 1.

Kreider won't be moved. He is untouchable. Howson will have to give because the longer he waits the less of a return he will receive. If he waits until after Ryan/Whitney and the other rumored guys are moved he will have to wait until the trade deadline to get a nice return, and who knows what that would do to Cbus/Nash.
