Bure, Oates, Sundin, Sakic.
* The most explosive player I have ever seen. Defined acceleration.
* The best pure passer I have ever seen. Consistent beyond belief. Best playmaker in his generation.
* The player who defined the scoring power center position and the best Leaf EVER. The all-time leading scorer of any original 6 franchise. Think about that!
* And besides 66 and 99, the one player who played in my lifetime who I would want on the ice with the game on the line.
Kind of hard to debate that any of these players shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame. I would argue the most raw talent ever inducted into the Hall...
I don't want to take anytime away from these four, but how is Brendan Shanahan not included in the Hall of Fame list of inductees today?
650+ goals. Three Stanley Cups. As strong a power forward as has ever skated. Maybe the best hands/ per toughness that we have seen. And add to that what he did during the last lockout. How he helped rally the players along with Trevor Linden. How he put together the camp that got some great rules changed. How he took the job from Colin Campbell and re-defined it. Right down to his creation of the All-Star player draft...and in the next year or so, I believe Shanny will be a GM...and a hell of a GM.

Rumors...
I am hearing, according to three sources a Nash deal may be getting closer as it is starting to appear more and more like Zach Parise could be getting an extension in NJ. I will be updating the rumor chart shortly with the latest on Parise and Nash..after a quick meeting I have scheduled with a key source at 4:30.
also...the Avalanche have not qualified Peter Mueller...I will be adding him as well...
and this just in..hearing he Avalanche may be making a big pitch the sign Shane Doan. More on that soon...
And this just in as well. Gaustad looks like he may be close to signing an extension in Nashville.
