It's all relative... because of age and where the Leafs are in their development I'd pick Duchene... If we were contending for a cup I'd pick Nash... think of it this way... Who would you pick first on the Olympic team!

Good point. Agreed.

id take staal over the other 2. he could do for the leafs what dustin brown has done for the kings imo (if the leafs made the playoffs), even though he may not put up as many points as nash or duchene.
- MetroidPrime

In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have put Staal on the list...apples + oranges...but I get what you're saying.

Who would you rather have on your team?

Nash or Duchene?

Staal or Duchene?

Too bad for Matty Frattin, he was obviously ripping it up. What a way to hurt a knee, on an empty net goal! Hopefully it's not a serious injury, 'season-ending' doesn't necessarily mean much when there are only seven games or less to go.

Still great news for him and the Leafs that he got three playoff series at the AHL level and looked good. Now he can focus on healing and training and coming into camp with some winning experience. Good stuff.

Pretty sure you can have a playoff team without a cup winning team.

He's got to have surgery, lets hope that he's 100% well before sept so he can train somewhat before training camp.

Fell while scoring the 3rd goal into an empty net in the clincher last series.

If he keeps doing what he's doing, I think so. He brings the jam the Leafs need a lot more of, and he can chip in some offense too.

maybe leafs trade down to get the 11th and 16th and then trade up with 11th to grab say 7 or 8 (minny can probably grab trouba at 11, guy i see them drafting, and carolina could grab maata). this way, leafs can still grab faksa at 7 or 8 and then gaunce/wilson at 16, unless they trade down to 20-22 to grab wilson while adding a 2nd or 3rd. burke should get shifty in this draft and do a lot of moving around

Yeah I remember watching him in a couple Leafs games this year throwing some pretty solid hits... impressive for a rook.
