Linus "I can't find my penis" Omark looked pretty good yesterday. Until he scored and then he fell off the edge of the earth.

(frank)ing Taylor Hall, after watching your glove hand last night we now know you'll never be a NHL goalie.

Hordichuk fight or you don't play. I don't mind this as it allowed us to double shift a few guys.

Belanger in 10 minutes looks like twice the player.

i have been saying that I think Kevin Lowe is the problem for years. Ever other member of management and coaching staff that has been fired over the last 6 years is a fall guy for Lowe. Daryl Katz, I implore you, get rid of K-Lowe already!

I haven't even been watching the games on TV for the last week or so. It's just to darn ugly...and painful. I think you are right Richard. Us Oiler fans have waited long enough with a mediocre (and some seasons down right bad) team. I'm tired of being the laughing stock of the NHL.

maybe this is what the teams needs...to be a 3 line team. Sort of like what Carlyle does for his teams. 2 scoring lines, 1 energy/checking line and a line of specialty players that only see action when they are needed.

Hall.Nuge.Ebs...scoring #1
??.Gags.Hemsky...scoring #2
Eager.Horc.Jones...energy/checking
Hordi.Bel.Petrell...specialty (enforcement.f/o+PK.PK)

I like PRV for the ?? spot

the 4th does not go out as a unit but Hordi goes out when it is time to instigate, Bel goes out when there is a big f/o needed (particularly if Horc is not fresh enough) and on a PK line, Petrell is out on PK and some checking assignments.

This really isn't true, outside of the Dallas game the games have been pretty decent.

I really want to see more out of Omark. He could be short term player to play there as well. Like I said earlier he looked pretty decent until he scored. He was back checking and had some nice stick work in his own end. A decent hit and wasn't making horrible giveaways.

Eventually we will need size in that spot though.

I'm not convinced Renney isn't a problem, but I do have an issue with a management team that doesn't give him enough solid players.

Okay...Only an IMBICILE in Edmonton would not be able to see that Lowe, not Timid Tambi is running EVERYTHING still. Watch the Oilers "oil.Change" series, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see Lowe call ever shot on every damn thing they do. So while you all have a puppet GM, you're going to suck, and suck azz badly. Hall, Eberle, pretty much all of em will want out VERY soon with this circus in town. Katz is a fan like all of you and drinks the koolaid. He'll sign whatever cheque Lowe needs because Lowe's sold him a bad bill of goods. When the Old boys club is gone for sure, then and only then will the team move forward.

Cloutiers a moron the way he writes. Nobody on planet earth can be that big of a moron to believe what he puts in print....BUT if you trip away the idocy of what he says, especially the part where the Oilers are a good team waiting to conquer all, you'll see he has a lil truth to everything. The kids WILL be alright once you get a Ryan Suter, or Shea Weber and one more quality top 5 d man, another good bottom 6 player who can add offence and grit, and most of all trade probably one of their number one this year or a Omark AND Paarvii for one of Bernier, Schneider, Markstrom, or Rask to go forward with. Problem is Tambi's NOT in charge of that, Lowe is. Rumors and sports talk in Van say IF Renney's fired Huddy will be next. Lowe clearly has no clue as to NHL grade talent. Like that Moron his underling Howson, Columbus and Edmonto are set to suck for decades. The difference, Howson will be gone and what is already a much improved since the beginning of the year Jackets will get better...The oil...no so much...and that's sad...

I'm not convinced that what has happened this year isn't apart of ST's golden plan.

Oilers need 2 top 4 d and a tender (though dubnyk can hold the fort shortterm) and this years pick (especially if its a #1) may be able to fill two of those spots via trade. They have so much top end talent it is ridiculous, so a lottery draft pick at this point needs to be currency to fill holes, not add another top end forward.

Honestly it's a coin toss between DD and Bulin. Bulin on any given night can let in 4-5 goals, but DD on any given night will let in floaters from the point. Bulin seems better at being consistent, but rarely makes the huge saves. DD on the other hand makes the huge saves, but has no consistency.

As for the top 4 d-men, I really don't know what they do. They have Whitney, Petry, Smid and Schultz. I guess you bump Schultz to a #5 and add a #4, but I really don't know what they can exactly do.

Add another elite forward with this pick.

Use Gagner/MPS/2nd rounder/prospects like Pitlick as trade bait to get two of the three that you mentioned and then a FA for the third piece.

Pray for SJ to miss the playoffs. Target Clowe and one of their d-men.

Ya the Sharks/Kings/Caps/Sabers may all have some nice pieces on the market this summer. I would think if the Flyers go hard for Sutter with a big contract they'd have to unload a decent Dman as well.

Flyers could also end up having Pronger on LTIR and just letting Carle/Grossman/Kubina walk.

I dont think were far away but the management doesnt realize that. Look at the start of the season. We had decent goaltending and we were winning games. Then the goaltending went south and so did the results. I think if we can add 1 top 2 Dman and a Solid Starter then we are set for a shot at the playoffs either next year or the year after. I wouldnt mind another eager like player either.

So a day ago, all you talked about is how the Oilers should "Fail for Nail", and today its all about fighting to win games. Hard to find your opinions credible when you contradict yourself day after day.

I agree that we have to get bigger but no way do we send gags anywhere. He is all heart and would die for this team. I would way rather have gags then that russian who is sounding more and more like Kovalev

Renney is right, fans are impatient. Everyone bought into the rebuild but then during the season get impatient. Renney should get a one year contract extension. Let it play out next season, let's see what we get. After next season if we aren't in a playoff race, Lowe, Tambellini, and Renney, all need their walking papers.

That is unless Lindy Ruff is fired. Then we go get him.
