Well don't bother saving any money for the playoff tickets because I don't think they'll win tonight. - Pairo11
Funny how the season ticket invoices have gone out and they include playoff tickets. I suppose it's possible, but I wouldn't say probable. |

Protecting Miller from that Boston crowd??? a bad outing there could send him down the crapper again... - battelmt
With Miller being as skittish and fragile as he is this could be a double edge sabre. He's like a freaking dog at the pound that has been beaten down. He will either bite you when he is cornered or roll over and cry like a b!tch |

I've never seen season tix but if the team is in the playoff mix don't they always include vouchers or something for potential playoff games ??
Positive marketing. Or karma... |

Pretty good analogy.
I'd take the odds on the latter..

I feel like it's bad karma. It's like counting your chickens before they hatch. But yes, they do. Whatever games don't happen, you get a credit toward the next invoice amount. But they always assume there's going to be 4 home games and they charge you for the first 2 rounds. |

I think I'm in the minority but I like starting Miller tonight. If you're going to play Enroth why not tomorrow? My thinking is that we need all the points we can get. If Enroth is going to be rusty and possibly sub-par I'd rather play him against a team we have an above average chance of losing to no matter who plays in goal. We have to win tonight. |

I think Miller thrives off of the tough road crowds. He does well with that kind of adversity. I dont think Enroth will handle it well. Play Ewok tonight, Miller tommow and sat. |

We have a better than average chance to lose tomorrow no matter who is in net. That makes tonight's game almost a must win. We have to beat the teams we are theoretically better than. If Enroth plays tonight and he is rusty and we lose we are in big trouble. |

At first I was upset that Enroth wouldn't tend the nets tonight, but then I came to this same conclusion.
Sabres HAVE to win tonight, a point or two tomorrow is a bonus. So play your best netminder tonight and secure the win. |

The whole team was. You could tell.
Miller is fine. If the rest of the team can play night in and night out, so can Miller. |

Seriously, give Miller some rest and play Jhonas.
and the worst part is that no one will comment on this blog for some reason. Even though Kevin puts some thought and effort into it, people choose to comment on Garth's illegible poop. - lacaprup

Haha
I want to like Garth's work AND Kevin's work, but his pieces make me cringe. Stupid nicknames, erroneous statements, zero proofreading... ugh.
Feels like most people have decided to do the opposite, anyway. So that's that. |

Maybe Miller isn't tired?
I know he's been playing a lot, but the guy is still young and basically missed the first half of the season with injuries and generally sucking. If anything, playing him this hard might be necessary for his confidence and ego - and I don't mean ego in a bad way. I just mean that if he feels he needs to "make up" for his play this year, let him do it as long as he is doing it.
That said, I do worry that overplaying him can affect his performance and then completely ruin whatever confidence he built up.
Sorry for the armchair psychology.

The answer to "Why not Enroth" is simple...Miller is better. I think Miller plays until he asks to have a break or his play really tales off. |

Enroth got this team to the playoffs last year.
Now even if they make the playoffs how far will miller get?
16 games left, miller will probably start 14-15 more games.

He said himself that the focus problem was due to the concussion. So I guess he should get a pass.

Maybe. I'm not in his head so I can't say that's wrong. But he played poorly nonetheless and I'm sure is feeling good right now/better than before around the injuries.

First
Garth is an idiot.
Second, and more important...
Enroth should go tonight. Carolina is the weaker team. Tonight should be an easy win. Out.your star goalie in tomorrow against the better team... Miller needs some rest. By doing this, Buffalo maximizes its shot at 4 points while giving Miller a breather. - andydrmm
It makes you look bad when you get personnel in your insults. You write a good blog why do you have to lower yourself to make your points
