If Rolston and Mottau play its good for the rest of the conference.

Zidlicky will be fine, you're all overreacting.

Besides, can he be much worse than say Havelid or Skoula ended up being?

Expected us to be quiet today. Hopefully we get Zajac and Tallinder back. That would be great for our team heading into the playoffs. But cmon Boston...Mottau AND Rolston?

Fayne got his feet stuck on the goal. No quickness at all, stick in the wrong spot.

Zidlicky looks pretty good, nice defensive play tying someone up going to the net, handling the puck well in his own end.

I don't think Fayne's quickness was the problem on the goal. His awareness was. He was gliding when all he had to do was maintain his position and keep his head on a swivel...and then he would be in position to intercept the pass. This problem is befalling the team of late. His awareness is usually more sound. But then everyone else is also generally better than they have been of late.

I would have liked to see Brodeur cover the short side better, and puck support from a forward so maybe Fayne would have been more comfortable maintaining his position. Brodeur made up for it with that save on the PP at least. That was pretty spectacular.

Volchenkov saved a goal there it looked like.

Rangers have their A game thus far. We're getting almost nothing chance-wise. We have our C game going.

Marty made the first one but was way out of position and Anton saved one. Marty hasn't been all that sharp. Should have had the first one. Can't afford to let in another Rangers are playing tight D and we aren't getting chances.

IMO, Marty shouldn't have played back to back. Yeah I know he was playing well but he let in 5 goals on 30 shots last 2 games. He should've started this one but I would've liked to see Moose start the last one. When's the last time NJ used Moose? What are they paying him for? At this point DeBoer needs to have the sack to sit Marty here and there and save him for the postseason.

We are starting to work better down low. But we know it often takes a bounce, deflection or rebound for us to beat Lundqvist.

This reminds of the 1-0 game against Carolina that we lost to get knocked out of the playoffs...in 2002 I think.

Clarkson needs to chill. He isn't helping the team right now.

Totally losing our cool. That's just a dumb penalty by Clarkson. I know he's pissed and emotions are riding high, but that can't happen. This is a major downer...so far.

Apparently he's good at serving as a landing point for Clarkson's launch.

Zidlciky (the terrible defenseman we traded for) def. slew-footed Stepan behind the net 4 on 4.

Has a little edge to his game, gotta like it.
