yeah most people expected gardiner to spend a year in the ahl before getting the chance at nhl but played great in training camp. He had stumbled in the middle of the season getting use to the nhl schedule granted he was playing 20+ minutes a game.

Pretty sure neither Leaf goalie's save percentage was above .900 in the 5-0 loss to Montreal, with 5 goals on 18 shots combined...4 on 15 and 2 on 3...

In other news, this is why I love how Flyers fans defend dealing Carter and Richards and bringing in Bryzgalov...not only was Bryzgalov an actual flat out reason for Phoenix's poor performance in the playoffs (and then brought here as some kind of "playoff answer") but now he's been questioned how many times in just his first year of his ridiculous 9 year contract (including benched for the Winter Classic) and on top of all of this he got a full NMC? Seriously Holmgren? I used to think you were an awesome GM until this past offseason...

P.S. I wish Ek would stop saying "#1 and #2" in lieu of "1st and 2nd" rounder...it makes it sound like the first/second overall pick...

I don't think it's a completely ironclad list, it's just the four teams he would DEFINITELY accept a trade to. They can still ask him about other places. Otherwise, how would Columbus negotiate with any of the other teams, especially since the list is now public knowledge? Columbus wouldn't have had a 45 minute meeting with Philly today - and we wouldn't have seen all these reports of teams not on the list trying to talk.
