Dude with all this date talk I don't think talking about being replaced by shiny objects is a good idea right now. - walshy66
Unbelievable hey Walshy? We go out of our way to help out kgr and Get him on the straight and narrow, doing our best to shield him from your bad influence, and he's already talking about the grass being greener on the other side
Newsfalsh Kgr- it's not!

For six games, he was electric. Then MAF stoned him and he disappeared. - akane13
He still scored in game 7 and kept trying, unlike others on that 09 roster... |

Whitney was so terrible and wasn't he making $4mil/yr? You know you have a good GM when you can trade away Whitney and get more than the bag of pucks he's worth in return. Looking back at that trade and the Hossa trade are really amazing. - sammy87
I've heard knocks on Whitney before, but our only beef right now is his health. I'm not sure he'll ever be an 82-game guy for us, but when he has played his level of play has been that of a true top pairing guy. Obviously worked out for you guys to trade him though. |

If Walshy moves state-side, we will work on setting him up with a fine American woman like that. She will be towing the welcome wagon upon his arrival. |

It would have made sense if nh was here.
We would take Hemsky but you need to include the extended warranty and we would like a 60 day return policy.
Thank you. |

It's funny how things can be perceived differently -- here's a stat I pulled from that Pens-Caps series :
Crosby finished the series with thirteen points—one fewer than Ovechkin's fourteen points, which was the highest single-series point total since the 1995 Stanley Cup playoffs
I think most Caps fans came away from that series thinking that the Caps defense against Crosby was atrocious for the entire series (everyone was calling for a "shutdown" d-man, and honestly still are), not that anyone contained Crosby in any way. Perhaps someone could go back and research and find that most of Ovechkin's points came against Orpik/Gonchar, etc, rather than Gill/Scuderi, but it's difficult to make the argument that anyone did a great job against a guy who put up that many points in a series (how many points would he have scored if they didn't do a great job ?).
BTW, as an aside, I think Gill is a solid pickup for a team seeking a big guy on the backend, but my memories of him standing out are more from the Habs run in 2010 against the Caps and Pens. - MadCap2008
Im at work right now and too busy to really look back, butId be willing to bet most of his goals were of the PP type, without our shutdown pairing on the ice, or of the opening goal in game 3 flukey variety. Its a credit to Ovechkin really because the pairing was great and Ovechkin still found ways

Funny true story...I found that by trying to find a picture for nh.
I googled "hemsky girl" hoping to find a girl in a hemsky jersey.
I don't think kgr would like her, I'm fairly certain she isn't gluten free. |
