Earlier in the week, so like 16 blogs ago you stated how Khabby had only negative value, I countered by saying how it was positive and to which teams, those being tampa detroit and chicago.
Then a few blogs later , so like 12 hrs, you say this:
Bad Goaltending. Yeesh, don't tell me Chicago plans on going into the playoffs with Crawford and Emery. Both were awful. We've got a whole bag of Khabibulin to sell you.
While no one could predict the 8a8ner flood fest, at least no one was saying we should trade him for FROLIK????
After a morning of troll slaughtering from the likes of whipper, vancity, sameold, and even juice, not to mention clouts himself. what a bespin beatdown, I have to admit I rather enjoyed it. It's fun ripping into trolls when they have nothing but envy.
My issue, is your a flip flopper, a guilt dodger, an idea stealer, and you play the babe lost in the woods routine too often, You're a great writer, don't pass off others stuff as your own, give credit, and admit your wrongs, that will shoot you farther than you thought before. - DrinkOil

Cory Emmerton and a 4th - jdd0001
An avg-ish 2nd line AHL player and an almost 5th round pick
*click*
Seriously, the Emmerton kid might turn into a 3rd liner...the odds of a 4th round pick making it is minimal. All for the services of a known Top 6.

I'd rather take the gamble of signing him in the off-season. Even if that means he walks.
Cory Emmerton sucks, and so does a 5th round pick. |

Good because i would rather keep Emmerton and that pick who might turn into another Pulkkinen, Mrazek, Tvrdon or Backman (who all played well in the WJC this year) with the Wings scouting. Wings don't need that glass diva so keep him or send him elsewhere please. |

Wings scouting may do their homework, you didn't do yours.
The Oil are looking for a Dman. Not another 3rd liner avg size winger.
Since there is no common ground here you should just move along. c ya.
EDIT: Just a follow up...I read recently about the avg % of later round players making a regular job in the NHL. 2nd rounders have about a 2 in 15 chance and 3rd rounders have 1/2 that, 1 in 15.
Following that trend, though it is a small sample and so it may not trend as smooth as the rounds continue, a 4th round player is about 1 in 30 and a 5th round player has about a 1 in 60.
Considering the pick offered was a 4th round Det pick it is almost a 5th...I give that player a 1 in 45 chance to make it to the NHL...
So a 3rd line player and a prospect that has about a 0.5% chance to make it to the NHL. All for a proven Top 6 winger.

Wow...hand that boy the Calder...please...Only 3 goals off the goal scoring lead and leads in assist category...all with about a minimum of 10 games less played than the other rookies playing regular time.
Only Henrique is close, and he has 5-6 more games played... |

None of which will probably be good NHLers......
Hemsky's production throughout his career speaks for itself. |

Omark complicates things. Hemsky's faithful service in past years would probably normally buy him a modest contract offer and/or more opportunities to play his way out of his bad mood. Hemsky has not earned most of his ice time - he's been given it because we want him to resume playing like he can, and he has squandered the opportunity repeatedly.
Edmonton has made promises to Omark. If he is not starting on ours or someone else's 2nd line next season I will conclude that Edmonton has Richarded Omark around very badly indeed. We want to be a team players want to play for and we want our organization run in an unreproachable manner.
Plus, at his best Hemsky is now our 4th best forward. How many antics would you take from someone so clearly replaceable?
Whether Omark works out or not, we owe him a very long look. Given we've written this season off (thanks, Tambi!) now seems like a good time to pull the trigger.
I would take Omark, hungry to prove himself, over Hemsky, pouting and disinterested, any day of the week, twice on Sunday. |

Sorry, didn't know I couldn't say that. Given there's a Richard as a blogger though, maybe the filter should be Johnson? |

If he walks, it's no skin off your backs. You can just reallocated the money saved on better plays within or outside your organization. |

You contradict yourself. WE KNOW WE HAVE TO MAKE A SPLASH.. WE KNOW WE HAVE TO BRING IN SCORING. HEMSKY ISN'T THE ANSWER!.
We need to bring in a player who we can count on putting up 20 points in the last 20 games of the season. We need a real impact player. The question is whether Poile will do it at the trade deadline or wait until the end of the year. Management has said they would spend to the cap next year. If we sign Weber and Suter for a combined 15 million, we still have room to bring in $13 million on top of that next year. Assume 3 or 4 million for a D-man, and another 2 or 3 million for a veteran 3rd liner...That leaves 7 million we would have to spend to bring in an elite player. Hemsky isn't that player this year or next. - dgutzman
wow, you want a ppg player for picks or blum -who is a poor mans version of tom gilbert this year... good luck to scrapping into the playoffs and a 1st round exit... |
