My wife is actually a fairly big sports fan as far as wife's go. She is a big Michigan football fan, as well as a Tiger fan (so much so where I actually have to say things like can't we turn off the Tigers and watch Hell's Kitchen). Strangely, after 24/7, she is beginning to turn on the Rangers games before I do. I wonder why? - Pete V
the whole state of Michigan is not worth 214 million right now
sorry Pete - jimbro83
Are they going to use him as a DH or move cabrera? Prince is a big bat, but a shyt load of money for a DH. don't think he has ever batted 300 either. that might be the best 3/4 in all of baseball though

Bite your tongue, Jimbo. The auto companies are actually starting to do well again, even though it took a bankrupcty to get there.
That's alot of money, but its a great get for the Tigers. Magglio Ordonez was making $18 million a year, so there isn't a huge salary difference between those two players (and Fielder is obviously light year's better at this point).

they lost Victor Martinez for year too
Prince is a great hitter, Tigers will be good as usual
hopefully one of you youngsters one day will be talking about the glory year of 12 one day down the line - jimbro83
There was nothing glorious about 1994 until it was over. From mid-April-mid June, even as a 15 year old, I had the Tums and the Pepto Bismol right beside me; especially during the Conference and Cup Final rounds

I even had heart attacks when Washington took game 4 and didn't look great start of game 5.

I went to Game 3-4 of that Washington series. For game 4, we got tickets in the first row right behind the net. The following week, one of my friends picked up sports illustrated, and there we were in a picture of Leetch making a play behind the net.

Think it was 4-1. Remember when Richter let in a huge softie from the other blue line by I think Kevin Hatcher at the start of Game 5? That was when I was thinking, here we go again....
