Ya. I just really didn't want NJ to get Larsson. That's upsetting. Now we have to face that beast 6 times a year, for the next at least 3 years.

It is what it is. Panthers reached for this kid.

Poor kid. His dream of playing for an NHL team will have to wait.

I don't think he'll be a big offensive D.... but a bear to play against and a shutdown guy with decent offensive upside.
- bmeltzer

so a offensive scott stevens?

sometimes i feel you go against the most likely outcomes of situations just to schedule eruptions

- Crimsoninja

All the mock drafts I saw not one of them had the Flyers taking Murphy. So I'm not sure how it is the most likely of outcomes.

Tough expectations to live up to, but I do think he'll be a bear to play against.

Outside of the top 3 or 4, there's a lot of uncertainty. Any of the projected next 5 after Larsson could end up at #5.

I'd be fine with Murphy. They have size, but the PP was bad last year. Maybe this kid helps (at some point). Saw him compared to Housley.

The next 5 are all good prospects, just that they're all pretty small
We got Larsson to NJD
Strome or Couturier to NYI
Then we'll see. I still can't see us getting Dougie. watch him be the 7th pick.

He's certainly big enough. He'd be our #6 dman, but he'd stay in the minors for a year is my guess.
