you think Edmonton could take Larsson first overall? Maybe they get nervous the Flyers move up and take him, or would they be happy with Hamilton and not worry about it?
- tjp2033

I still really hope they trade Steeg for that 3rd pick.

Seravalli said the Flyers are drooling over Landeskog. I guess that is who they are aiming for if the get the #2 or #3 pick. But I am sure they wouldnt be disappointed with Larsson.

You think that RNH's smaller size has them worried?
- Marc D

I think they already have loads of high end young talent up front -- many of them lacking a bit in size, though -- and a potential first-pairing D who could be in the NHL by 2012-13 (actually, could probably hold his own now) is an even better option, especially since another asset would be coming to trade down.

If Larsson is their guy and they can't move down then, sure, it's possible.

It is so weird to have a draft with the Flyers picking early.

The other strange and ironic thing was reading these scouting reports, and both Braydon Schenn and Landeskog were described as being similar versions of Philadelphia's Mike Richards.

well there has been talk that the Flyers and Avs are talking to move to #2.

So anything is possible. We will just have to wait and see tonight

Florida could get RNH, we could get Larsson/Landeskog and Edm could take who they want

I'd want a warm body or at least another later pick back in that case.

I think more moves are gonna be made right before the draft. Right now its like a for sale sign and the teams are trying to get the best deals.... I really am excited though that the flyers have a high pick

I'd do it, although I'd ask for at least a low-round pick in addition to the 2. The Flyers would then have huge cap space available.

I know that Snider insists the team won't pursue any marquee names in free agency, but I still think that Holmgren realizes the D corps is built to win now and the forward corps is now probably a couple years away. To keep the Cup window open in 2011-12, I think they need one more impact forward. The club has 59 goals (Carter and Richards combined total from last season) to replace as best as possible. Yes, the team upgraded in goal and added a pair of forwards with high-end potential but that's a lot of offense to make up right away.

homer made a comment that this years draft is like 03 when they took carter and richie, thats why i feel there gonna end up with 2 first round picks.
