Hearing Carle or Versteeg plus 8 overall to Avs for their 2nd overall. Thanks to @AndrewKnollNHL embedded at draft for this 1.

Might not be Bob, but still pulling a George and Weezy

- Jsaquella

That's a pretty steep premium...

Edit: nvm, I read "and" instead of "or".

Seriously. Jsaq comes off as more of a Darth Maul: dark, mysterious, at times ruthless, horny, and you miss him when he's gone. Though, when he's abruptly cut down in size, you clap and eat popcorn.

well done.

It better be Versteeg. Trading Matt Carle would be a big time mistake.

That is my biggest worry with the trades. By far.
- Jsaquella

I think they have the offense to replace the missing goals, but Carts and Richards were really good 2 way players, and their experience there will be sorely missed.

2 years ago they had some very good success running the 4th line out in a shut down role, but that was a healthy Betts/Lappy/Carcillo.

Last years 4th line couldn't do it.

Well, now that cap space ain't an issue, they can sign a good defenseman if Carle is gone.

Yep. He's a bit of a project. I've seen moves where you see why he was taken 7th overall, and then others where he looks like a slightly more sober Hartnell.
- Jsaquella

the flyers like projects. history shows this.

It could help with what Bill said though. Trade Versteeg and get Larsson/Landeskog and then sign Richards and Leino.

This is straight craziness.

(frank) you! I come on and this is what I get!?

No poop though! Like here we have hills. and pretty hot chicks (well in my grades anyways), and uhh our main landmark is the Besboro Hotel! Beat that!

Philadelphia from what i've seen the one time I went there is an awesome city. I absolutely love that all 3 buildings, and soon-to-be very nice hotel are close together. And I got to walk upo "The Steps"

That's what I said about #17 and 18 right up until yesterday.

I will be almost as shocked as yesterday if Carle is moved.

You don't know that! Sill 5 hours to do something! I have no clue why he wouldn't want to trade up. It'd be stupid if he doesn't, actually.

I definitely prefer it to be Versteeg and not Carle. I really like the makeup of our defense and it's comforting to know that entire unit is still in tact with a top flight goaltender. Re-tooling the offense is a project, but one that looks as though its going to be extremely fun to watch develop with all the young talent they brought here.

I'd also venture there is better depth and variety at forward in the UFA pool.

I'm joking buddy! Easy. I meant I'm sure Schenn would rather play in Philly because he will be in the NHL.

I thought I read somewhere recently that Saskatoon had the highest violent crime rate per population in Canada. Is that true?

kypreos said it awhile ago. and i, for one, love it. they did the right thing, and the fans without question are the reason why. they were loud and clear what they wanted, and TNE listened.
