Gubrandson isnt going anywhere. FLA probably has no interest on Bob.

FLA has Jakub Markstrom.... they wouldnt have any interest in Bob, I would guess. Versteeg is more likely.
- BradTardforGM

Dare I say Edmonton???

Do they have a goaltender in the pipe line???

Schenn, BOB and #8 for #1 overall?

Not sure if that makes any sense, as I don't know enough about Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Schenn honestly.

What if a team that has playoff hopes on the line loses their goalie to injury long term next season?

Would Bob be a better commodity in the trade market then?

- jak521

You mean Bryz?

You could have a point.

I am sure thay are asking for Bob, Versteeg and the #8
- vejim

Number 8 may be a little out of the money zone in this draft. IMO either Florida will want pieces to make them a playoff team now for revenues sake, or a better prospect and this trade does neither for them.

Thing that dude doesn't know what he's talking about carter wasn't a winner
- 2Real

Yeah, if i had to see "injured" Carter out partying instead of watching the games from the box or at home around Philly one more time I was going to lose my mind. Carter's an unquestionable talent, but he has no heart.

I was thinking maybe a deal with Colorado. They need a goalie and are the #2 pick. Not really sure if they want to move from that spot though.

I can't see the Flyers paying BOB almost $2mm a year to be a back up.
- flyguy12

They definitely can afford to now.

Nothing's wrong with two good goalies in net... you never know what might happen with/to Bryzgalov... maybe wait until he's demonstrated he can handle the job before doing away with the safety net. I'd love a situation where we'd have a young Rask to go with a Thomas. Just imagine what Boston could get in a trade for Tuukka Rask or Tim Thomas if they wanted to unload either of them...

Versteeg would help them now. FLA needs to add salary. Dale Tallon, FLA GM, brought versteeg to CHI when he was GM there, so he is familiar with him. Will that get the flyers the #3 pick? I dont know. But i bet Versteeg goes to FLA.

I dislocated my hip in 2008. I couldnt walk without crutches let alone play... i was still able to have a life. I was still able to go to parties and what not.

Carter has a ton of heart.

I thought they were high on Larsson? Who (frank)ing knows... we'll find out in a few hours.

I don't think the Flyers are done by anymeans. But I am not expecting another blockbuster. I would be more than happy to somehow turn #8 into Landeskog w/o losing a top 6 guy (sans Hartnell).

He's a good player, but he's worth nowhere near what he's going to command as the top-UFA-by-default. He's had a couple of solid seasons in Dallas, but before that, he was one of the biggest salary-cap albatrosses out there.

Giroux -> Briere -> Schenn is a pretty good mix at center, IMO.

Not at all. Flyers are VERY high on Larson. He projects as a solid #1 d-man. Use the money from Steeg to sign another forward or 2.....

Definitley nice to have that depth but is it worth it @ a position where only one guy can be in net at once???

I've always said carter would be great on a team that doesn't care about them
- 2Real

I cant see Carter and Nash on the same line. Both are guys who want the puck and neither are known for their passing/setup abilities. Nash would be better with a nik backstrom type center.

Schenn is actually bigger than Richards and Carter was playing the wing. We're technically bigger today down the middle than we were a week ago...

Flyers should be happy with Larsson. Just as good.
