As slim as the flyers trading both Carter and Richards?

- BradTardforGM

Seravalli made a good point. How can TB match an offer when say the Flyers offer him a cap hit of 7-8M a year but are paying 10+ to start it. Vinny is getting paid 10M per for the next 5 years. They dont rake in the money like the Flyers.

I'm praying to the hockey gods that Steven Stamkos ends up in the Flyers orange and black.

So Stamkos is quite possibly the Flyers plan. I am getting pumped. Still slim, but you never know

Terrible journalism.. Flyers wouldnt look to trade for him but would give an offer sheet? They CANT give him an offer sheet.

If this is possible you offer a max contract........not sure what the number is but Im guessing its close to 10 mil a year..........if you can get a guy like Stamkos you go get him......with our recent moves we have the pieces to acquire him by trade or give up the picks over the next 4 years, I believe we have the picks despite what some have posted, if someone knows please let us know thx

Unfortunately, the Flyers cannot sign him to an offer sheet. It would have to be a trade.

Really this is the most ridiculous thing I have heard since Carter and Richards were traded within 30 minutes of each other.

Its one of those things in life, you keep telling yourself it just can't happen so you don't get disappointed. However, can you just imagine if it does...............

Unless they wait until after the draft it cant happen. Also, not sure how it works with 2nd rounders as well, what picks do we have for the future.

I'd be fascinated to see the Leafs throw an offer sheet at Stamkos (or anyone, really) after Burke female doged so much about it being done to him.

If they offer sheet stamkos, 4 1st rd picks will go the other way. may be 5, but I think its 4.

After tonight, the flyers have all of their 1st round picks

If someone puts an offer sheet in, Tampa may opt to match it and move St. Louis or Malone to free up the space.......

If thats the case then its possible.

I think it would be about as likely as us trading the 8th and versteeg to LA to get Richards back...

4 1st rd picks is a lot... even for a guy like stamkos. especially considering how much they would have to pay him.

picks may turn out they may not - Carter and Richards took u to The Finals & are proven winners.

Bryz is overrated - had terrible playoffs last 2 seasons.

Don't try and spin it - terrible deals especially Carter

The youth of Stamkos, Schenn, JvR, Giroux and whoever they get tonight could be an argument against that.

It'll be interesting this summer, no doubt.

Thats true, but he's a top 5 player, probably top 3...........I dunno, if it wouldn't handicap the team from being able to sign JVR, Coburn, etc., thats the real dilemma in this fantasy situation

I guess it all depends if stamkos would be willing to take a 10+ year holmgren type of deal, or demand his rumored 8 yr/ 8-9M deal.
