it is so awesome to know no matter who we face we have home ice advantage no matter what
- jimbro83

Idk what it is, but the Garden has taken it to another level this playoffs. On TV it seems like the building has been rockin way harder than average. Maybe it’s both the Rangers and Knicks making runs? It feels like a real home ice advantage.

Probably just crazy NY being crazy NY

Are you frustrated with Rod's postgame comments? It'd drive me crazy if after the Florida series last year and the first 3 games this series and Rod says after every game that they played great and are "winning" the games.

It's a good sentiment for a game or two where the bounces don't go your way but he refuses to acknowledge that getting a million low danger chances doesn't necessarily translate to wins

Without knowing too much about the situation other than only know there were rumors about Rod maybe being on the hot seat, I would be extremely annoyed. It’s too complacent, maybe even a little arrogant, to think that you’re playing well enough to not make changes when your team is down 3 games in the series. Bounces be damned, you’re not playing well enough to win. I would think he gets canned if they get swept.

But what do I know? I’m just a keyboard warrior that roots for the opponent.

I said before the series that his contract could be a distraction and you have to wonder if it is. Reports were saying that Dundon (I think that’s his name, canes owner) pulled an offer off the table so as of now you’d have to believe that no offer may be coming. Especially if this ends in a sweep.

After the cross check Aho gave him, the celebration was warranted. But he is supposedly chirping all game long. Did that when he was in Carolina.

Canes are too predictable. For years it’s the same game plan. Opponent doesn’t matter, game flow doesn’t matter, etc. They don’t adjust or change their way of thinking. Yea it’s great for shots but all it does is tire your team out. The isles had you a few games too and got bailed out with them being mindless at times. Unlucky too. Canes goalies still are very meh. They’re good but don’t strike fear really.

Just some observations lol

The New York Rangers have THAT look. Things can change very quickly. They still have one more game to win and there are great teams left. But we are seeing a team that doesn't give a poop about what anyone thinks. National media, analytics is everything crowd, Vegas are all scratching themselves. They insert Chytil who hasn't played in 6 months and he looked like he hasn't missed a day. This is some team of destiny poop going on with these guys. Finish these guys off while Florida and Boston bleed all over each other and their stars beat one another's faces in!!

it's infuriating, yes.

What's worse is that they shifted back to doing this specifically for playing the Rangers. They didn't do this against the Isles or even leading into the playoffs.

But that's what Rod's system does. It props up the underlying numbers of the least effective players at the expense of creativity and offense from it's most talented guys.

Sounds like Chytil at LW was the #NYR plan all along:

Lavi: "It was just conversations with Chris (Drury) about his past. A lot of things that we've been doing in practice, maybe not noticeable, but it was in preparation for him to come in and play some on the wing."

Marek was alluding to this today on his show. I wonder if Rod overplayed his hand here a bit if he wants to stay in Carolina because his family likes living there so much...

Could see it be a situation of "mutually agreeing to part ways" if we sweep them.
