Why did Chicago let Kampf walk at age 26? He's been impactful. Same age as Brazeau is now so it's not like Brazeau is some young prospect.

McMann hasn’t quite broken through yet. Benoit did, but don’t forget he’s been benched a lot this year. Kampf is very replaceable, and is overpaid.

Talking about Chicago as if they are an exemplary franchise is laughable. They cheated the (frank) out of the cap. The way the league looked the other way when Hossa's contract disappeared due to diaper rash was a joke. Let's not forget that the team did not get penalized for Kyle Beach scandal. Arizona was penalized a first and a second round pick for the combine scandal (which was worse?????) A team to emulate would be the Detroit Red Wings 1990 to 2015. 25 straight years in the playoffs with four cups along the way.
