Two solid picks so far.
Both kids can play.

This Pavel Shen seems interesting for a 7th rounder. Put up some solid numbers in the KHL’s version of the A and played 29 games in the K last year. Albeit with only 2 goals. He seems to be ranked higher than where he was selected.

Personally have been a fan of Kovalchuk his whole career. In my opinion would have been a lethal option for the Bruins in the top 6, and capable of being a game breaker when it counts. I don't buy into this stuff, "He hasn't played in the league in 5 years or He is 35 years old." The guy can still play and predict 25-30 goals this year.

However sexy as a pick up he would have been the Bruins probably don't need another forward. The team has been weak on the back end since they dealt Boychuk and Hamilton. They have some really good defence currently but to contend they need to add a top pairing dman.

sorry to hijack but whats the deal with Dougie Hamilton? Was projected to be a 1-2 dman in the draft. Boston drafts him. Plays like a cornerstone d man. Then his entry level deal ends the reports say he won't resign in Boston because he wants to be closer to home. Gets his so called wish and is shipped off to Calgary for an "OK" package. Is portrayed there as a 1-2 dman. Cornerstone kind of guy and at a really good price. Played very well and through all media accounts was a good fit in the locker room. Now he is shipped back the east coast (where he never wanted to be apparently.) Were there rumors on why he was shipped out? Is he poison in the locker room? or is he banging someones wife/daughter (a la Tyler Seguin?) I don't get it...
