It's a tough decision on Krug. But having both Krug and Gryz out there is not sustainable. They're too small. Has to be one or the other. Would love it the Bruins could get Noah Hanafin. I'd imagine it would be Krug + - glove_was_stuck Oh without a doubt, but he's exactly what this team is missing.
I mean there are other areas, of course, but a LHD with size is numero uno IMO.
Having:
Chara - McAvoy
Hanifin - Carlo
Grzyleck - Miller
would be sweet |

I thought Krug's defensive game picked up last season, but if they're gonna trade him, still need to get a dman back, I think Hannafin is a pipe dream but maybe Sweeney can do some magic. |

This is my nightmare
I don't disagree that he's a great teacher... I just wonder what this team could do if they had a more modern defense, and a better transitional player taking those minutes. I understand he's still contributing, I just can't help but feel he's also holding them back in a sense. That being said, I highlt doubt there's a single guy in the Bs locker room that feels that way... it's just my perspective as a fan. - mixturebill

The left side is too damn small. You can't have two 5'9 LHD. They will be exposed like they were against the lightning. When Chara isn't around anymore it makes that weakness even more glaring. I'm leaning toward seriously ponying up to what Carolina potentially asks. |

If the Sharks somehow land Tavares. The Bruins better get on the phone and try to land Couture because I doubt they will be able to afford him at that point. Bringing in Couture would be the immediate replacement to let you ship out Krejci.
Imagine if the Bruins drafted Couture instead of Zach Hamill |

Also all 3 are really good transitional players. Unless we want a "puck moving defenseman"
